He has said that he doesn't want to be franchise tagged again, and likely wont be back with the 9ers.

What are your thoughts on us picking him up??

If we do plan on getting a safety via fa i love it but i like this elan kid from Florida but i wouldn't be upset at all if e picked up gholson

I think Goldson would be huge prolly not as much as Jarius Byrd but I don't think Byrd goes anywhere and Goldson is more realistic but I think that's a position that we won't spend alot on with Elam being in this draft also Vaccaro

Obviously Byrd is what we all want, but I doubt the Bills let possibly the best S in the league walk. Goldson would be a welcom alternative, and he could play SS so Bethea doesn't have to move.

I think Byrd will be re-signed or tagged by Buffalo.

 

While I like Goldson,  my concern is he's going to want his Big Contract.

 

But for me, the issue is he's going to be 29 next season.   Giving him 4-5 years extends him into his 30's.    Not sure how far out there I'd be willing to go for him.

I know I read somewhere he really wanted to stay in San Franciso....I need to find the link.  I would love to have him.  SF may ante up.  Saying he does not want to be "franchised" does not mean he won't be....really not his choice is it?  He may be unhappy...but it is still major coin...

The question is will the Bills slap the tag on Byrd or Levitre. I think who ever they don't tag, we go after immediately. Either or bothwould be a huge upgrade. As for Goldson, my best bud is a 9er fan. He loves Goldson because he's an enforcer type. Something we sure could use. It'd be a good laugh for me if we signed him.

Jim Harbaugh really wants him back. I don't know their cap situation but Goldson has said he wants long term security. I've been pretty adamant about how much I would like him on this team.
