Local Radio news hear reported a seathimg interview where Harrison teed off on Goodell calling him a dictator, that he will never respect him,, and accusing him if engineering more rules that will get him further fined for illegal hits, though Harrison has insisted all along his hits are legal anyway & still does

Supposedly its all over the Pitt . Papers

-------------------------------------------------------

from article just found added later on to the above

He went on to accuse 2 members oif the streelers for losing the SB 45., especially Big Ben saying just because u may be paid similar to him stop thinking u can throw like Peyton Manning , u cant

.

Harrison also criticizes other NFL execs, Patriots-turned-commentators Rodney Harrison and Tedy Bruschi (”clowns”),

.

Houston’s Brian Cushing (”juiced out of his mind”) — and even teammates Rashard Mendenhall and Ben Roethlisberger for their performances in the Super Bowl loss.

.

Harrison calls the running back a “fumble machine” for his fourth-quarter turnover.

.

Of the quarterback’s two interceptions, Harrison says: “Hey, at least throw a pick on their side of the field instead of asking the D to bail you out again.

.

Or hand the ball off and stop trying to act like Peyton Manning. You ain’t that and you know it, man; you just get paid like he does.”

I would have to agree though....remember when the Steelers used to always try and run the ball first to set up the pass? Now it seems that they are passing way too much.

They definitely changed from a successful method that was built over the years, and its not like they have a bad running back

Warm thoughts/wishes - you're a good guy, so I hope everything is as good as can be.

I think what he said is a little harsh, the thing he said about Goodell, and now the big ben thing. I'm slowly starting to dislike him. He's a thug. He should just keep his mouth shut; no kidding Ben is not like Manning, and Ben knows that, he obviously does not act like he's Peyton.

Ben not like Peyton? They both throw interceptions at vital times in SB's. But no, you are correct.

    • Teams wised up and realized he can not be blocked one v one like in his early years.  On short yardage teams cheat to his spot or down right double team him on short yardage.  The Colts need to adjust better imo.  The defense cheats to counter Nelson.  Running to the right more would counter that.
    • Depth has not been the main problem of this defensive line IMO. We've always had solid depth, which is something that's in the Ballard's fundamental philosophy. What we have lacked is top tier talent, especially on the EDGE. Lets hope Laiatu changes that...
    • Doesn't every team make a different version of this statement about DL depth? JMO, it doesn't seem like anything new to me, especially not with Ballard running the front office.    What actually matters I think is whether we have game changing pass rushers, and whether Davis can be impactful from the inside, either at NT or at 1 tech. Davis is decent, I don't have super high hopes for him though. I hope our edge rushers can really get pressure and finish with sacks. And I hope the front can hold up against the run, especially if/when there's an injury to Buck or Grove.   I don't expect the pass rush to get any help from the defensive play calling, so it's going to have to be about technique and matchups, I think. And maybe Paye, Dayo, Ebukam actually play better, and maybe Latu can contribute as a rookie.    Either way, I think the DL is pretty good.
    • The D-line personnel remain to be seen. My concern is whether or not Gus Bradley has the capacity to orchestrate the talent we have to best advantage. I'm skeptical. I feel Bradley is too dogmatic and ideological in his philosophy to use the tools he has.   In short, he can't see what he won't see, and I don't know if anyone on the team has the ability to change that.
    • He hasn't been a pancaker since he got paid. My recollection is often iffy but wasn't it year 4 that he played with an ankle injury? And he came into the league with back issues.   I pound the table that our opponents don't give an inch to Fries when it comes to Fries knocking them back in short yardage. So absolutely our opponents can line up their strength to cover from Kelly to a L TE.  What has been shocking since his early Pancaking All-Pro seasons is him getting drive blocked so instantly and powerfully that he looks like a Joe. And occasionally big guys are around him in a flash. My first thought is he is off on the snap timing. Nelson is still executing loads of good blocks and I would put his pulls up against anyone. Yes, OK, definitely many of those are pancakes. When I was thinking of pancakes I was picturing him going mano y mano with the guy across from him and riding them for 6 yards then landing on them.  It's history.
