Two 6th Round Picks

I don't think it would ever happen again, but the Raiders did spend a 1st round pick on punter Ray Guy in 1973.   The Raiders used for 1st round pick for their current kicker too, Sabastian Janikowski in 2000.

Heres a thought...would you take Adam Vinateri in the 1st rd if you believed he would be what he is over say over a guy that we've taken in the first in the past. It seems terrible but man two hof caliber kickers there.

Well drafting Melvin Gordon would be better than drafting someone like TJ Yeldon, but I get your point

My perspective on RB's is you can find any RB long as they have vision & don't fumble. Build the offensive line, that's all you need to do.

Cowboys took that route, they can have anyone run behind that line. May not bring the big play ability that Murray had, but would still be productive behind that line

You got that right.. build the line. A lot of people have the Colts taking Collins from LSU in RD.1

I'm hoping the CFL kid we got Ben Heenan ends up being a starter for us down the road.

Yep, like I said..... Grigson's mindset on team building is a great one, the pieces just won't seem to fall into place for him

He's brought in great talent nonetheless though & has searched near & far to find help on the team

The more picks the better, I don't put much stock into the "It's the 6th & 7th rounds, these guys will be lucky to survive the first cuts"

Plenty of UDFA who turn into good players, so why can't a late drafted player do the same?

It's all about having a good scouting group

Grigson has to knock this off season outta the park like a Barry Bonds HomeRun

:colts:

Exactly right.

Brady was pick #199 in Round 6.

Malcom Butler was an UDFA out of a Community College who'd started working the Drive-in Window at Popeye's before he made the Patriots roster.

Wouldnt it be awsome if we can trade both picks this year for like a 4th or 5th next yr,, then next yr trade it again and make that 4th/5th a 3rd then the yr after that trade it and get a 2nd then make it a 1st and somehow end up with the 1st overall pick then trade that for multiple 1st and 2nd rounders!!!

haha sorry not having football gets me all excided i got carried away.. A guy can dream lol
