Playoffs and WR's

So with the playoffs coming up do you guys think the team can go with 4 WR? I know the general consensus of alot of people is griff and that's my opinion too. We have gotten this far with we have but I believe we need another option at WR. With TY nursing a hammy (its not serious but hammys are a strange thing), moncreif being a rookie (absolutely nothing wrong with that but experience is nice), Wayne nursing some nicks and bruises (shown that even he is capable of dropping alot of balls) and Nicks being pretty much a no show this year (yea he had a nice TD last week but what about all the other games).

I know some people arent high on Griff because of his KR/PR, however hes a very solid wr and luck and him have good timing. This isnt a praise Whalen thread but he is our best bet at the #4 spot. Think we can make it with just 4 WR?

(Note I didnt mention Cribbs because he never has been a big WR just a return specialist)

id like to see cribbs in the backfield and throw a swing pass or screen to him. dude can do damage in space

We have enough problems with turnovers as it is

Cribbs puts the ball on the turf sometimes, can't take that risk on offense

Now if we're up by like 20 then we could try it once or twice

But not in close games

It all depends on how the other 4 play.  I wouldn't want to bring in Whalen if nothing changes, because we have got the job done without him, but it sure is nice to have an insurance policy, if something does happen.  He has sure hands and good speed!  That's what we will need in the playoffs, but Nicks doesn't get many snaps really, so it would be pointless calling up Whalen at this point.

But if we can't take that risk why advocate so strongly for Herron?

Not that I don't personally think Herron shouldn't get carries just seems a strange double standard.
