i dont live in indianapolis and more then likely the " big trade winds " talk will hit indy before it hits anywhere else and the only way ill hear anything is if it involves mike jenkins from dallas since i live here in dallas. so has there been any word on who this trade may involve? or is it a high pick for freeney with the emergance of jerry hughes? im curious.

lol dallas seems to get news around the NFL late unless it involves dez bryant getting into trouble lol. unfortinately i get little colts news here lol. only good thing with the NFL and living in dallas is i get the colts games every weekend on CBS lol.

Several players names have been thrown around mostly on Twitter, Cullen Jenkins (By me). Mike Jenkins (pretty much dismissed that for now). Mike Wallace(Rumors still out there) Vontae Davis (seems to be the strongest rumor flying around at this time and who I want anyway) Maurice Jones Drew (But thats seemed to have been quickly dismissed) Nnamdi Asomougha (Still rumored to be floating around). Im thinking its Vontae (If there is a deal that gets done)

I wouldnt mind asomougha either. he is pretty good and signed for a few years. idk if davis is under contract longer then this year or not, but i could see asomougha because grigson likes to bring in his players from philly it seems like. i guess im pretty even on both of them either one would be a big improvement to our secondary. but hoping not a first round pick involved,

Is it Your wish, or You have info on that?

They were just speculating him as an option no real evidence if they were looking to get him but hes a perfect fit not to old, great player, wouldnt cost a 1st or 2nd rounder, and would easily improve the defense.

Sorry, it isn't confirmed. But I would be familiar with this trade. Wonder what 'Phins would like in return?

Honestly i say do a trade Davis for Freeney and like a conditional late round pick?? I really thinks hughes is going to step up and be elite

Hughes and Justice earned their place on the roster, I don't think they would be subject of a trade. And I think neither Freeney will be traded, our vets will be kept IMO. We will see...

Jerry Hughes has emerged? That's a stretch to say the least. Let's see him make a difference when it counts.

If Vontae Davis is the target would not surprise me. After watching Miami Dolphins in "Hard Knocks" the last two weeks, at some point I got the feeling Davis was in the doghouse either with Philbin or the club in general.

The Dolphins have done themselves no favors by having that broadcast to the rest of the NFL.

      Thank you. You guys are too kind, but I truly appreciate the support.    Perhaps I am being too hard on myself… But my point still stands that anyone who makes it to the NFL, whether practice squad or starter, has achieved something prestigious that only a rare few ever achieve.    Over a million high schoolers play. Of those only 7.8 percent move on to play in college.    Over 80,000 people play in college. Only 0.4 percent make it to opening day in the NFL.    Only 2,016 players make it to NFL rosters.

      Davis had a very good rookie season after being drafted in the 2nd round out of Ohio State (I believe).   Graded in the 70’s against both the run and pass.      But his last three years have been disappointing, as he’s graded in the mid-50’s.   The reason I’m so interested in this signing, is (A) I’m sure it was heavily influenced by the new DL coach, Partridge.   And (B) we’re paying him 2/14.  I don’t recall that kind of money ever being given to a basic backup before.   Don’t think Davis is here to push Stewart, the Colts just signed him to 3/39.  That tells me the Colts defensive staff sees him differently.   I don’t know what the plan the staff has come up with for Davis, but I’m looking forward to watching it play out.

      What I’m reading on him the Pacers did get good value. Looks like he will need time to develop but he is in the right situation to do that. The pacers are stacking some quality young players that will prove to be more outstanding depth or assets if they choose to make a trade. Very exciting time for the team right now.

      I’m not a religious person, but since you’re an educator I think you’re doing Gods work!   In these crazy insane times we’re all living in you’re doing one of the toughest jobs on earth.  And you’re teaching perhaps the most difficult generation to deal with.     From a distance it feels like you’re being very unfair to you.  I’m hoping in time you’ll see yourself in a completely different light.    Someone highly thought of.  A leader in the community.  A protector of young minds.   I couldn’t admire a teacher more.
