In a time where having versatile players can save you a roster spot or two wouldn't it make sense to have a long snapper that actually sees the field more than just the short moment when snapping the ball on FGs.

I feel people might bash me for suggesting this and claim that it takes a specialist at snapping the ball to be a LS, but in my mind it would make sense to ie. make Pollak the LS and thus save a roster spot for bigger needs. Caugh*secondary*

Am I totally out of my mind or is there some sense to it?

As far as I know, Snow is also a TE. With that said, if he was any good at TE, he would probably have gotten some reps in at practice and might have even seen some plays in games as a TE. He will be our LS, I don't think it's too important to have him play multiple positions.

He's paid to play LS, not TE. Plus he's not better than Clark, Tamme or any of the TEs, cause if he was than he would be playing. Bottomline, he's a LS.

But who cares what hes secondary role is? He isn't been used as a TE, heck even Jacque McClendon got more playing time as a TE last season

Go re-watch James Harrison throwing the ball out of the back of the endzone for a safety. He tried to fill in when the normal long snapper went out with an injury and blew it.

Teams with versatile LS usually still limit them to LS duty, to prevent injury. Teams usually hate messing with snapper, holder,kicker chemistry.
