Is Bryce Young heading the David Carr route?

I feel bad for Bryce Young. He is getting hammered left and right. He was put in a no win situation by being drafted into an organization that did not have a plan to support him well with good draft picks and acquisitions. He is heading down the David Carr path running for his life and having people in his face constantly.

NFL GMs have to understand not all small sized QBs are going to be Kyler Murray or Baker Mayfield and if you want them to be, you have to surround them with OL and good offensive support first. I don't think that has happened in Carolina. He will be the most hit or sacked QB of all the rookies taken in the 2023 NFL Draft and probably won't see a second starter contract because his confidence will be damaged and get to the point of irreversible.

Can't be that Carolina sees it exactly that way . He's being benched next week in favor of Andy Dalton.

Carolina really screwed us taking the little QB before Stroud.

Apparently, this last game, he was pressured only 4 out of his 29 drop backs, so OL is getting a bad rep based on last year, it seems.

Also, he started tearing up after throwing an INT. It is a sign of a QB panicking and getting low on confidence too. You have to have tough skin to play QB in the NFL.

He started crying? That does not sound like him. I heard that Carolina fans are brutal. The owner is worse.

Seems like very dejected and on the verge of tears to me.

I did not see that. The video ends when he is about to undo his helmet. Everywhere I have checked said that he was about to cry. I have not seen proof that he is crying.

Hopefully he will go to a better situation. I will take him as my backup for half a year.

Do the Panthers think they can win with another QB?

We got a few answers this week with freaking Andy Dalton lighting it up. Not a good week to be Bryce Young. :)

Agreed. The things that made him great in college are no longer there. He was supposed to process and make reads fast, get out into space and make plays out of the pocket.

    • What an INT by Jones a beauty... staying inbound and tipping it to himself wow... Hopefully he stays hot.
    • He basically did sit last year. He was on the sidelines for 3/4ths of the season.

I just want to point out that Allen had to go through EXACTLY the same thing AR is going through right now and if the Bills had given up they'd have lost out on a franchise QB.
    • I agree and like you I was here to watch Curtis Painter and Scott Tolizen try to play QB so that’s saying something.
