I'm going out on limb here: the Bears will be competitive against the Chiefs. Maybe not win, but they won't roll over, either. Somehow they find their rhythm and play a good game.

Predicting Bucs over Eagles.

I seen your post on the other thread regarding making big money taking the Bears. Yeah if I put $100 on the Bears I could win $530 but I would have to take the Bears straight up with no points in order to get that payout.

Titans are currently underdogs vs the Browns. Bet on them to beat the Browns.

The Titans have won an NFL-high 23 games as an underdog since 2018 according to ESPN. This is hard to ignore, my friend.

That is a hell of a stat. The payout would not be huge if I take the points but if I took the Titans straight up, I would make a little more. I am $200 to the good so far this season. Imagine if I just took that $200 and took the Bears straight up to beat the Chiefs chuckling homer simpson GIF- If I won, that would net me $1,060. If I lost, I would be even for the year.

Odds are greater the Titans beat the Browns than the Bears beating The Chiefs, IMO.

Plus, once they factor in the Chubb injury, the lines might change closer to game time, this would be the time to place your bets?? Nothing wrong in building your winnings little by little. :)

I agree, that is why the payout is unreal if the Bears win. I will more than likely stick to my 2 $50 bets, just not sure yet with the games I am going with. Bears winning would be a miracle but just a fun thought going through my head.

Few of those games, Fields is going to run like crazy and get some wins...

But, even if he did, he'd need more things going on for him and his team to beat Mahomes...

I'd think Bears get some wins within the division... That's why Lions and Vikings are for. And some teams who can't stop the run or running QBs.

Nice to see that you picked the Seahawks. They are my pick for the Survival Pool this week. So far, I have won with the Ravens and the Bills. I cannot pick them again. I thought to pick any team playing the Cardinals or the Texans every week but then that would not be fun.

Hopefully, I will survive after this week. :)

Is it too late to join in and do you just have to pick winners or scores as well?

Just winners of games, to be honest. Join in, no harm done this early in the season. Scores are just for our fascination as to how we think the game will turn out to go revisit and either thump our chest or leave it alone, lol :)

@2006Coltsbestever I try not to look at your picks before I make mine.. but the margin for error is so thin we disagree on 3 games this week lol

I know you don't copy my picks. You are too competitive for that. Even if you agreed with me on every pick, I still wouldn't think you copied me. That poster actually just copied my post, that is what was funny. No big deal but I have never had that happened before lmao

Yeah I think Herbert goes 0-3 this week. I can see Kirk passing for a lot of yards on that defense. Chargers may fire their coach if they lose this one. You have a talent like Herbert and start 0-3, something smells in the room.

Yep - I don't have the time to sit down and evaluate each matchup - so I only pick the teams I believe will win.

I do that by choosing the winning team in "bold" print.

Sorry for any confusion.

    • These are the kind of moments I wish PFF had a link where you could submit questions or comments.  Sometimes they do things that appear to be head scratching.   This is one.
    • you’re correct, and I honestly don’t know why that’s the case lol.   i even remember the chiefs game and was thinking to myself how he may be our guy at FS.  He even had 4 picks in ‘22.   im definitely not going to go back and watch any film on him so I’ll write it off as me having blue colored shades on due to a 7th round rookie having some bright moments lol
    • FWIW:   The consensus around here is that Thomas had a nice rookie year for a 7th round pick out of the Ivy League.   But then he suffered through a very disappointing second season.      But for that crowd, here is a head scratcher from PFF.   Thomas’s grades are almost identical.  His second season might even be fractionally higher.
    • I’m sorry, I agree with @Hoose on this one.  FS is a glaring weak spot for us right now.  Thomas regressed a lot last year.  Cross, he’s ok but I’m not sure if he’s the answer and I too would feel a lot better with Simmons back there.   I really don’t understand how our corners catch flak on here and the FSs get away clean lol.  Brents would grade out either ok or good when he played and Jones was getting recognition asking rookie corner.  Thomas was bad and cross would look solid and then would show us he’s not ready to be that safety blanket.  I will say, I do have some faith cross can be.  But Thomas, idk.  He was good first year, horrible last year.
    • YOU are probably wrong regarding all of this.
