I thought Pittsburgh was going to take him right in front of us. I'm sure Ballard has a good pulse on the draft who was staying out and what they were probably looking for. Think he just knew what he was doing. They liked both Mitchell and Corley, imo, so he knew there was a fall back if that did happen. If he was too worried about losing him he would of selected him at #46. They traded up for Goncalves because they were afraid to lose him.

That's more accurate description, thank you. I think every comment doesn't have to be seen as shot at Ballard (as in how @DynaMike had to explain in previous page unnecessarily, lol) and people don't have to delve deeper into such angle and based on the history of a poster's comments. I say this because Chloe continues to say the same when she is nervous, so she stands no chance with the crowd who think they need to defend the team's decision or circumstances, etc., Best is to understand her tendencies and allow her to express, and ignore the urge to reply to every one of her comments, even if that seems redundant or non-sensical. That's the essence - let everyone express in their way. That's not to say such comments shouldn't be disagreed with, but everyone needs to realize to take off the foot from gas pedal before it gets out of hand (depending on everyone's tendencies) and rather ignore such posts at that point. -

I disagree for several reasons. 1.) We have Cross, Thomas, and Simpson at FS. All are young. I want to see a battle between the 3 to see who can start and if any are any good. 2.) We have Blackmon at SS, we don't need two veterans. 3.) We need a veteran at CB that can not only improve our CB play, but that the young CB group can learn from. 4.) I feel Baker can be cut easily if we sign a veteran CB and I'm not sure if Flowers will be 100% right away. There's just so many more reasons to go after a CB than a FS IMO. -

I give it an A+ The draft shouldn't be measured in April, but on the surface, it appears we did great, and filled to glaring holes at DE and WR BOTH players need to be accounted for by our competition AD Mitchell can (and will) blow by single coverage You will HAVE to put him in a zone cover, to account for the speed THIS step will ensure that the defense cannot do the 8 man box crapollla that we saw most of the time. JT will have so much more room to run The other recievers will be open more than they were last year We finally have a DE (again) that the Offense needs to account for Someone that can get 4-5 more sacks (than Paye) and actually DOUBLE his hurries. I am excited..... I REALLY think that we need to add that vet FS, to complete this offseason -

He read the board right, BUT....... If another team would have traded into those spots, we would have missed on a player that I think COULD be a Moss type reciever
