He has now missed fg's in 3 straight games, he had a great run but Hot Rod has more dependable range when looking at the 2

That's debatable - I know he was hurt, but Rodrigo missed some pretty easy kicks (to include an extra point) that cost us the Ravens game - had we won that, not only would we have likely already clinched a playoff berth, we'd probably force the Titans to win out vice just 1 of 2 to take the division.

He was injured as you said, that he kicked at all that hurt just shows he wanted to help the club that game.

Career wise they arent close in the 40-49 range...Hot Rod is 14/17 (82.3%)while Badgley is 23 of 32 ( 71.8)...Under 40 both automatic, over 50 both struggle but that 40-49 range will come into play down the stretch. Love Badgley filling in but it is time imo and think we will see the club make this switch.

Career wise, we're looking at a much larger sample from Badgley (5 seasons vs 1½) but even if you only count this season, Badgley has been much more effective with a higher FG%, (78.9 vs 78.6) XP% (97.4 vs 87.5) and more than twice as many points (83 vs 40).

One of the best abilities for a player is availability, and Michael Badgley has never really been hurt but Rodrigo has (not saying that it's his fault) but his ill-timed injury not only cost the Colts a chance to win an important conference game,  it opened the door for Badgley who has made the most of this rare opportunity.

I think Badgley has done well enough to at least warrant finishing this season with the Colts, setting up a serious training camp battle for the Colts' placekicking job with Blankenship next offseason.
