I hope so... thinking in concussion protocol means either his airbag ejected and he got smashed in the face by it or he hit his head on the steering wheel or dashboard (if he was passenger) pretty hard.

Seen what a concussion can do to someone

I'm glad he wasn't injured any further

Impact to the head/neck, subsequent headache, dizziness or blurred vision = concussion protocol.

 

Hopefully he's okay.
