That's tough. He is a 5'10" (some say much smaller and we will see) quarterback. He will probably end up in my top 100. Obviously there are some GMs out there who gave him a good draft grade, or he would not want to enter the NFL draft. He would just stick with baseball. Someone is in his ear telling him to go the route of the NFL. I currently have him ranked 161, and right now that is where I would take him. Somewhere in the 5th round. He will go much higher. Boiler_Colt
Thanks for this. The guy I really like is Johnathan Abram. He seems like a perfect replacement for Geathers if he is not brought back. Fast, hard hitter, and fits this defense.

He also has good coverage skills for a strong safety. Granted he does have feet for hands, but in deep coverage he gets in good position and deflects the ball well. He is one of the better safety prospects in this draft.

chad72
I just think you have Hakeem Butler a tad too low, IMO. He is a Top 40 prospect, IMO. I have a hard time thinking he will go past the middle of the second round. His body control is amazing, every time I watch him. He seems to play faster than he is and covers a lot of ground with those long strides, it feels like.

I currently have him ranked somewhere between a 7th rounder to a UDFA. The process is still early though. The good news is; he is heading to the Senior Bowl, so he will have a great opportunity to impress everyone. A lot of players have moved way up the draft boards at the Senior Bowl. 1

Like I said, I expect him to move up on my board.... Just not as high as the board of the team that drafts him. He will probably get drafted in the first round. I don't think he will be that high on my board. Will he go high in my mocks? Probably... But that's not indicative of what kind of player that I think he will be. It's more of how I think a particular team might view him. He will probably settle in on my final board as a second or third round pick. This is all still early in the process and up until the past week, we did not even know he would decide to play football. I am still not convinced that he will choose football. He might be using this as a negotiating tactic to get more money from baseball.
