Being from the UK, I can bet on the NFL fairly freely (although with little success for the most part! haha) but I saw the betting for Offensive Rookie of the Year last week and Big Q was way down the list at 250/1!

I know a guard is unlikely to win this but it is not like we have a Deshaun Watson lighting up the league this year so I stuck a cheeky £5 on, which would net me £1,255 in return (c$1,600).

Am I mad or does this seem high odds for someone who is beginning to dominate and a line that is getting a lot of mainstream coverage?  Surely his only real competition would be Saquon or Baker Mayfield in terms of impact on their respective teams and I would not say either of them have been as consistent, although you could argue Nelson had a slow start in terms of expectations.

I don't think OL win OROY awards.

It will almost certainly be Barkley.

Sorry but I think you wasted 5 quid.

It wont be the first time! haha

Although I did have £20 on Luck to win Comeback Player of the Year before the season started so that looks good to bring in £120 as we stand.....might just cover my other losses. :headspin:

OL never win awards no matter how dominant they may be. I think they should add like a “Joe Thomas” award or something that goes to the best OL each year

The Joe Thomas award would be an award for the most elite player on a team picking in the top 5.

But I actually agree with you, they should do awards based on position.  Because despite how important they are to the actual game, OL never wins awards.  And any top performing QB is going to rack up the awards and then if you don't have a real dominate QB then a RB will get it.

Which is actually kind of strange when you look at pay for OL.  GM's know how important OL is.  But the people who vote on awards apparently don't.
