The Indianapolis Colts today signed guard Will House to the practice squad.

House, 6-3, 314 pounds, spent the first six weeks of this season on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad...

...House played in 45 games at Southern Nazarene.

House checks a lot of boxes for the type of player the Cardinals seek.

He is 6-foot-3 and 314 pounds, so he has the size and frame. Strength and athleticism are not an issue.

At his pro day, he put up 31 bench press reps at 225 pounds. He ran the 40 in 5.17 seconds. He showed a 30.5-in vertical leap. His three-cone time was 7.85 seconds, right at the historical average for guards.

...He believes his biggest strength is “being athletic, being able to make plays in the second and third level.”

Despite playing left tackle his sophomore year, he “definitely” feels more comfortable inside, although he tries to model his game after Washington Redskins tackle Trent Williams — “just the way he uses his athletic ability to make plays.”

He was a four-year starter, playing three years at left guard and one at left tackle...

...House is not like many offensive linemen coming out of college. While his team played in a spread offense the last two seasons, he also played in a pro-style offense for two seasons, and even in the spread, it was with power run concepts.

He feels his strength is in run blocking, which matches up well with what the Cardinals have done with the offensive line in the offseason.

This sounds like another Glowinski, I like the signing a lot!

Now let's hope he never sees the field this year and is simply being groomed as depth for next year when Good is gone....lol
