2018 Senior Bowl rosters, news and discussions

Fred Warner should be a guy we are watching. Physical, fast, athletic LB who can cover and play ILB or OLB. Scouts say he has a very high football IQ. Could be a mid round guy who starts day one for us.

This is a weird one but... According to Tony Pauline the Colts have Southern Mississippi WR Korey Robertson graded as a day 2 pick right now:

Southern Miss wide receiver Korey Robertson is rated as early as the third round by some teams. I’m told that Robertson received his combine invitation in the first batch that went out to the underclassmen and that he’s presently graded as a second-day pick by the Washington Redskins and Indianapolis Colts.

Here's some highlights. Looks interesting:

I like what he does after he catches the ball....but, he would need to choose another jersey number :)

The rumor about the Colts grade on this kid may or may not be true.

But I'd remind that under Ballard we have quickly gained a reputation as a franchise that does NOT leak.    So any rumor that mentions the Colts I'd be highly suspicious of.     Seriously.

Tony Pauline is usually fairly accurate, but something like this during this time of the year you never know one way or the other.

He probably talked to a Colts scout there and asked him something of the sort "How do you like Robertson?" And he got something of the sort "He's a day 2 guy"... I wouldn't put too much weight on it, but I'd keep in mind that probably at least one of our scouts values him somewhat high. This doesn't mean this would be his final grade by the Colts FO.

I'd say both Krunk and Stitches are right.  Pauline is a solid reporter.   I'm sure he's not making this up.   I'm only suggesting that perhaps the info we're giving out might not be entirely on the up and up.

This is the "silly season" and teams have been known to put out some false information to send out smoke that might cover true intentions.   Not saying that's what this is...   only that it MIGHT be...

    • Rigo had best season of his career by over 2 yards which was amazing and had zero touch backs which was first time in career.
    • Look at those feet!!! Beautifully lined up!
    • I doubt it.   Photography can be misleading.      For the record, AR was 234 in college.  Showed up at the combine at 244.  Then at one point with the Colts said he was in the low 250’s.  But it’s not clear if he stayed at that weight or lost some of it.    So do you think he’s in the 250’s now?   Heavier?   Honestly, the team typically updates the roster in mid-June.   So I’m reluctant to believe anything until the website gets updated.  Again, a camera angle can make a person look taller or shorter, heavier or lighter.  Just saying.    NOTE:   FWIW:  just checked.  This website currently lists AR at 244.
    • Ah, that is good to know. Thanks.
    • When AR got injured, I strongly felt it was partially due to injury he had to his shoulder in college and that it wasn't rehabbed correctly. I am happy he got the surgery and has taken the time with the top medical advisors to rehab his arm. It should be back to where it was if not stronger. Given his age, I rather this happen now than in the future when his body is a bit more beat up.   I think he's going to have a big season this year. Going to have his growing pains obviously but is definitely going to surprise some people with his accuracy and pocket awareness (very natural feel/navigation from what we saw). Pair that up with some Steichen magic and this team is primed for some competitive play against anyone in the league.   Zaire was recently on Chris Long's podcast and the topic of CJ Stroud came up. Zaire said that he was frustrated about some of the stuff Stroud was talking on radio row at the Superbowl. CJ apparently said that he carved the Colts up both times. Zaire had to remind him that A) he hasn't beaten Anthony and B) the first game when Anthony played the Colts were up like 28-7 in the 2nd quarter and playing nearly full prevent defense. It was nice to see the fire from Zaire about both AR and against CJ.
