Buccolts is the Pirates fan. There is a Phillies fan who posted here recently. There are several Reds fans (Dgambill, ColtsBlueFL among others). There are a couple of Orioles fans but they have never posted here.

Honestly, I have never had a better PC than this.  It has a 27 inch screen that seems as if it is almost 3D.  I will watch some games or a race on this thing, :)

Dodgers are due. They have been on the cusp for years but just haven't got over the hump. Not a bad prediction at all.

We have a talented roster; we just need them to stay healthy. We managed to make it to the NLCS despite having 28 players on the disabled list. Hopefully Kazmir can get healthy so we can finally have that deep pitching rotation we've all been waiting for.

Yeah for the home that is perfect. I go with laptops mainly because of work. I have had mine for roughly 3 years so I am due for a new one. I usually get a new one about every 3 years.

I have been a Cubs since the 80's, so glad they finally won it all. You guys scared the crap out of me during the NLCS when the Dodgers went up 2-1. I was worried. Kershaw IMO is the best Pitcher in Baseball.

Nice to see that former Mets super prospect Scott Kazmir is still in the majors. I loved that kid. He was like what Noah Syndergaard was for us a couple of years ago. The Mets traded Kazmir for Victor  Zambrano (not Carlos who was great for the Cubs). Mets fans were so upset with that trade. One of the worst trades in Mets history.

I thought we had a chance once we went up 2-1, but I just didn't feel it. A-Gon was the only one capable of getting a hit. I thought Puig matured a bit in the 2016 playoffs. He didn't hit, but his discipline on the plate impressed me.

Went back in past on this thread kinda glancing through , Punters are People too is a fairly big Cub supporter and Gavin did drop in to follow the Cubs . Had forgotten.

Punters are People Too has not been around for a while. I don't think he posted any comments after the Cubs won the WS. When he used to post here, he said he was in his senior year of high school. Maybe college life or work life is keeping him busy.

Mine is 10 years old.  I use it mostly on vacations now.

Yeah Gavin didn't Post much in here but it was because he didn't want to jinx the Cubs is what he Posted once. He, like me and many others were hesitant to celebrate until the whole thing was actually over. I think he would've Posted a lot in here now since we won and ended that curse.

I don't need my readers on this one.  HA!

Ha. Last weekend I got my first pair of prescription eyeglasses. I can't read without them. It is a bit annoying putting them on and taking them off when I am not reading. haha

That is why I posted his reaction to the Cubs victory in the "Remembering Gavin" thread. He was so happy. Thankfully he got to celebrate that before he left us.

So you only wear them to read?  I have an awful time reading the boxes at the grocery...never take my readers there.  I don't want to look any older than I already do!!! :)

I am getting close. I can still see pretty well but it's getting tougher at times. Being on the computer a lot doesn't help matters either haha. I am in my mid 40's and things are starting to hit!

I am Cubs fan and anyone from the Tri-State so right now I am following The Phillies(Jarad Eickhoff) and Marlins(Don Mattingly)

I watch the Reds since I am in their "home" market, ties to Gibson County and several college roommates from Columbus and Brownstown

Better not forget about the Dodgers because of strong Princeton ties

    • I think it's very simplistic and that's not all.    We can't blame everything on the team and not the person (QB).    First of all, the QB needs to make efforts to learn and adapt NFL systems, learn to make reads, progressions, protection calls, adjustments. Even if he does, he should've had the tools and traits, and shouldn't have too many bad habits or tendencies that he could not execute the plays more often than not without reverting back to the bad traits under pressure or otherwise.   There are floors and ceilings to which the QBs can be coached up and after that, the traits that QBs possess and the progress they make in development should take them to the higher level, if they really put efforts into making so. And, the floor and ceiling that various experts compare before the draft may not actually be the true potential, and that could be seen only on the field and over the years through progression or regression.    Then, there are scheme fits, supporting staff and cast, injuries, football intelligence and probably many other factors that play into these QBs reaching their actual ceiling.    We, fans, focus on the positive traits and the potential and talk up so many QB prospects in the draft time, but we don't do the same projection on how these QBs' bad tendencies, limitations and the lack of tools and traits eventually could limit them from reaching their ceiling.    This is why not all top 4 QB prospects in this draft are going to become franchise QBs as history suggests it very rarely happens that more than 2 QBs in a draft becomes a franchise QB for their teams over the long term or even for a full rookie contract.
    • the major benefit of Pinter is he was widely praised coming out of the draft a an athletic “move” lineman who could be used in a zone scheme.    historically, the schemes that sparano has used recently employ a good amount of movement by his Center and try to get them to pull and operate in space.    that plays to pinter’s strengths and gets away from his weaknesses where he is overwhelmed strength-wise and needs to play angles    I think he can be an average starting center in a zone scheme if we go that route.
    • Yea I agree with you. Waiting is risky and moving back would definitely be a Ballard move. Grab more picks and still get your QB. I would not be opposed to this. That being said Will Anderson possibly being there at 4 could change my mind. We clearly are “adjusting” the roster since rebuilding seems to be a strong word. So grabbing a stud ER would be a good move this year. But that means probably rolling with Minshew. I’m conflicted.
    • You may also want to check out this video - every throw against Georgia, which probably had the best D in college football last year (although my Buckeyes put up 41 on them, lol!)   Some really good throws, a few bad ones.     I have to admit, I'm pretty much sold on this kid.  I expect him to be wearing the horseshoe come May.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lRkYM5T7u4
    • U don't draft Carter with Buckner and Stewart on the roster. Plus, Carter comes with tons of baggage.  Even before the speeding episode there was apparently a lot of other red flags. My God, he got gassed at his pro day and had to lay down. He is a bust waiting to happen. What happens when u give someone with character flaws millions of dollars?  If u think he was out of control now, just wait till he wins the lottery.
