Paye may only average 8 sacks a year his entire career. He gets alot of tfls and is great vs. the run. Sometimes we are used to DEs getting double digit sacks because of watching Freeney and Mathis for years. While in total our DEs have less sacks, our DTs have nearly quadruple that of the DTs in Freeney/Mathis time. This year so far we lead in tfls and last year was 2 sacks from all time Colts list.
We don't have the tiebreaker over the Marlins or Reds. We need to finish 1 game better than both to get in. No matter what happens, the Cubs have brought us excitement again. 2021 and 2022 were a disaster. We are in this thing with 10 games to go. All you can ask for. As of now, ESPN is showing we have a 45% chance to make the playoffs. Not bad odds.
Seen the news tonight and the Bears making headlines first for their DC stepping down for health reasons and QB Justin Fields blaming coaching for his poor performance. Looks like the Bears organization on the verge of major changes come end of season.
I also realize it's way too early to look ahead to the draft for next year, but Arizona has really set themselves up nicely for the first three rounds. With all the draftees to enter this year I would love to have additional pick(s) in round 3 as well. The Lions looking like a good trade partner to drop back with in round 2. Do still like the idea of doubling up on first round draft picks plus add an additional pick in round three. Our franchise keen on building this team through the draft.
