Maybe (though not certainly) to Peyton in Indy, but not to Peyton overall. Any football fan would be sad to see Peyton retire, regardless of their favourite team. Same goes for guys like Ray Lewis, Tom Brady, Ed Reed, Tony Gonzalez, etc. They made the game better

Yeah the game will move on. It is so hard for us to see Peyton leave, but he just cannot play forever. The day will come anyway, but I just hope it can be delayed for at least a couple of yrs. If he has to play outside Indy, it is at least better than not seeing him play at all.

Yeah, I don't see why the Redskins would prevent him from doing commercials.

Of course even if his injury forces him to walk away, he can still do those.

So yep, I am looking forward to next year.

If Manning is the QB for the Colts in 2012, you should be banned from watching every game.

Dude you really need to grab a clue. I have explained this repeatedly. I have had season tix for over 10 years. I have been to 2 Super Bowls to watch the Colts not to mention regular season road games, including one in this God-awful year. My wife & I have what amounts to another Colts Pro Shop in our house and all for the most part because of Manning. I would love nothing more than to watch him play at LOS more but there are far too many obstacles to make that a realistic option.

But just for giggles, how would you impose this ban?

Yeah, well judging by your posts, you seem to revel in the fact (using the term loosely) that he's not going to be here next year. So, if you're going to make posts like this, be prepared for people to call you out as Manning hater, because that's what you look like.

Wow, another one...

The idea that I am a Manning hater is comical.

With regards to Manning, there is very real, hard evidence that releasing him is the absolute most prudent thing the Colts can do. The fact that I can see that does not get me in the same ballpark as being a Manning hater. There are those emotional fans, and I think Portage is one of them, that believes Manning deserves to stay as long as he can and that is just not reality any longer.

But if he stopped growing out his hair and changed his throwing mechanics, you could pretend he's me. Look down, now up, where are you? You're at home watching a commercial of a man you wish could be your team's QB. I'm on a Colt"

      If we're talking about the 3rd and 2, even Olsen said this is 2 down territory.   Everyone thought they were just going to hand it to Taylor who at that point was ripping off 8-9 yard runs.   Then for some reason they toss pitch to Sermon and the play is buried.   I can understand going with Sermon the rest of the way because Colts were in pass only mode.   But the 3rd and 2 toss pitch to Sermon makes no sense.

      I did not see that. The video ends when he is about to undo his helmet. Everywhere I have checked said that he was about to cry. I have not seen proof that he is crying.   Hopefully he will go to a better situation. I will take him as my backup for half a year.   Do the Panthers think they can win with another QB?

      Soft zones make any NFL QB look like a star. Our DC who shall not be named is the author of this old and outdated form of defense and needs to look in the mirror and see how he can change and make this defense better. When we came into the season everyone thought the run defense would be a strength but its been the downfall two weeks in a row. The offense has its own issues but this defense is laughable and believe me I hear it from my friends all over the country

      This is a great reminder to all Colts fans to be patient. We are a year behind where AR should have been in experience. He’s  a work in progress and will almost certainly improve throughout the season. I think we can all see that this season will be a roller coaster with AR under center. Hang on and don’t give up hope.  BUT, that said, it is my fervent hope that the Colts dump Gus as DC and draft heavy on D next year. Especially LB, S, and CB. Along with a key FA scoop or two. This D needs a cleansing in the back 7.

      Because they were throwing? What a stupid answer because Taylor is also a great receiver and an RB that has to be respected and accounted for when he is on the field. Steichen is starting to tick me off he is bullheaded and makes stupid mistakes. He needs to be more active in getting players faces when they play lazy
