The majority of Kaps ludicrous contract is only guaranteed if injury is a factor, its pretty clear they want him healthy no matter what so they can easily part ways. To get surgery on his left shoulder

Mobile QBs don't work but not because they're just mobile QBs. They get injured when they try to be a pocket passer because as backwards as it sounds, they're more injury prone when they're not doing their natural thing even if their natural thing is a more physical style.

He was working until they tried to makehim something he!s not. He didn't run dangerously like RG3 so I'm not sure why they attempted to fit a square peg in a round hole.

I really don't have a problem with Andrew running every once in a while because he usually gets pretty decent gains when doing so. He just needs to slide or get out of bounds when he runs. It's not like he relies on the run either to be great. He passes a lot more than he takes he off unlike Kap or RG3 was doing, those QB's needed the run aspect of things a bunch to be successful.

In my opinion, they never will.  You might get a few exceptions, like Fran Tarkenton or Steve Young, but they get hit too much to have good careers.  The pocket passer will never die

There have been a ton of good mobile guys who aren't remembered as mobile guys because they threw so well on the run. They were short on rushing yards but not on ground covered by their 2 feet by any means. Favre, Cunningham, Elways etc.

As for Kap, I bet he'd be money if he left SF and somebody pulled a Hines Ward with him.
