Andre Johnson, Frank Gore, and Phillip Dorsett are going to be looking at Michael Irvin real funny if we win. Irvin the former Miami Hurricane just sat here and said the Pats will put up a 60 burger on us tonight. This stuff is starting to get real sick!

Nah they are reporting Tom Bradys dad said he wants them to put up 60 points on the Colts. Irvin is not predicting that http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25343467/tom-bradys-dad-wants-patriots-to-put-60-points-on-the-board-vs-colts

One of the best Mantras Chuck Pagano put out there this week was "Work On Us" If you really study some of the main stuff that has held us back in these Pats games its been self inflicted. Bad coaching, bad tackling, turnovers, penalties, etc. Just bad execution across the board. It's more about us than them. If we make our corrections we will be fine. We have already corrected the personnel.

Sorry don't give me a link. I just watched it with my own eyes on NFL network. The guy just said the Pats will put up a 60 burger and its mostly because Luck is playing badly and he may still be injured. He suggests we should sit Luck and play Hasslebeck so when we get whipped we can say "Our guy wasn't healthy". Everyone on the panel disagreed with his mentality. I can sort of see his point to a degree but come on a 60 burger. It wasn't really his prediction for the game in terms of hey Michael what's your prediction? It was more loose talk about the game. I did see him a couple of days ago also and his opinion was we will be blown out.

Of all the people on NFL network Heath Evans is the biggest ***** of them all. I mean why is this guy even on this network?? NFL network you have millions of dollars I refuse to accept that this is the most qualified person you could find for the job. This guy act like hes some kind of football legend. You have less than 600 career yds and like 3 td. Give me a real FB anchor. I nominate John Kuhn!!! An actual FB who actually CONTRIBUTED in his career.

Heath Evans has his job because he gleefully recites his memos that state how great certain teams are and how the other 22 have such dire weaknesses. It's called propaganda and when someone gets paid around 2 million dollars a year they aren't going to risk that paycheck by looking into a camera and telling the truth. Over 90% of what is broadcast on both bspn and the nfl network is complete garbage, senseless drival, right Heath!

We can't hang with the cream of the crop. Patriots now going to pour it on....At least I can go to bed now , and wait for the players interviews tomorrow. Ugh let me guess what they're all going to say. "We just have to play better sound football". No that is not the problem, we are just not a very good football team and will more than likely lose the next 4 or 5 games in a row. The schedule is brutal for the next 5 weeks. Even if we do make the playoffs we know that it will be one and done.

    • But if the Colts sign someone next week or the week after then it really doesn’t matter.    I would’ve preferred we sign some two weeks ago.   Get them familiar with the DC and position coach.   But once we didn’t then it really doesn’t matter when.  It just matters that we do it before camp opens.  At least to me.    And the fact no one else is signing these top FA safeties tells me the market just isn’t there yet.   I’m preaching a healthy dose of patients.
    • How about getting a proven commodity in the FA market? I know that assumes the player wants to be here, but money talks and the Colts have some. This D needs a solid center fielder. Simmons fits that role perfectly. If he’s gettable, here’s to Ballard pulling the trigger, even if it’s a slight overpay. The team CANNOT leave this crucial position to players who have consistently underperformed in the past (Cross and Thomas).
    • All - this is the real question.   What do the 32 GMs in the league know that the rest of us (we're on the outside looking in) don't know?   Answer that question and you'll have what you need to analyze the choices made by the leadership of your favorite team.
    • We have the weak secondary where a player in FA can be signed for a year and get a starting job. We also have the money to afford any of them. Not too many other teams have that combination of both factors right now. Also, the draft recently happened and I'm guessing a lot of these teams want to try out their early round picks in the secondary right now. We didn't draft anyone in the secondary until the 5th round. We are somewhat desperate (not to mention Daniel Scott is out for the year again). Other teams are not at the moment.
    • Why do you think A and B are the only options?    What’s the reason for Ballard to be cheap?   What incentive would there be?    Posters like Superman and w87r have crunched the numbers.  The Colts are among the league leaders in spending.     Ballard’s is going into his 8th year.  He’s been competitive in 6 of the 8 seasons and I personally think season 1 was a tank.    Also…. Ballard always says the team is always looking to improve.  It’s now mid-June, so the Colts have 5 more weeks to sign someone before camp starts.  There are a number of FA safeties available.  Why aren’t the other 31 teams signing these players either.  They’re certainly good enough.  But it’s Ballard who is wrong or incompetent or cheap or something and not anyone else.
