Roughly $43,450,000 less then Calvin Johnson in terms of total contract amount terms but only $3,750,000 less in guaranteed money which is what matters most in the short term, Well earned. As stated above, Big time players get big time money

Bryant's deal includes $45 million in fully-guaranteed money, including a $20 million signing bonus and fully guaranteed salaries of $3 million in 2015, $9 million in 2016 and $13 in 2017, sources told ESPN.

I read elsewhere that $20m of that $45m isn't guaranteed until next season. We'll see as more details come out.

But using these numbers, Dez has a cap hit of $7m in 2015, and it goes to $13m and $17m in the following two seasons. A little too backloaded for my liking.

At signing, $32m is fully guaranteed, which includes his $20m signing bonus, his 2015 and 2016 salaries of $3m and $9m. If he's still on the roster in 2016, his 2017 salary of $13m becomes guaranteed, and he reaches $45m guaranteed in the first three years.

Cap hits go $7m, $13m, $17m, $16.5m and $16.5m. Simple, traditional structure. This deal could have easily been done six months ago.
