Dustin
I wouldn't be opposed to a team taking him and trying to turn him into a WR. This dude has some hands.
SteelCityColt
I can't see anything measurables wise to rule this out..interesting idea but you'd think he would have made the switch earlier if so? I remember there was a Madden year you could move Reggie Bush from RB to WR and his OVR shot up before quickly developing into the best receiver in the game. SDakColts
That is a heck of an idea. Never really thought about that, but after mentioning it I have to say I agree with you. He could be a dang good WR.
NewColtsFan
I think Dustin is suffering from lack of sleep. Johnson is noted for being a very good receiving running back. But he also has very good running back skills. There's no need to turn a very good running back into a WR. Just out of curiosity, when was the last time this was done? Dustin
You are underrating his running abilityHe's a fine runner. He doesn't get to shown it off when he's running into his lineman's back.

funktacious2
It's been no secret with some mocks I've done that I'm David Johnson fan, but I'd much rather he just stay a running back. His hands are one of the things that make him standout as a running back.
LJpalmbeacher2
There are a lot of fine receivers in this year's draft class without trying to convert a rb into one. And I believe he's projected to be drafted in 2-3 rd. That's way too high to do that.If he were like a 6th rd. prospect, maybe but not 2-3. But if a team runs a offense where they want the flexibility to lineup a back in the backfield then send him out wide or in the slot then he'll be very good for that. Superman
Why not just use him as a receiving RB? I haven't seen him run pro WR routes, so I don't know that he'd be a realistic prospect as a WR.
