Denver adds a guard Miami cut after an injury-plagued 2014..

Started in 2013..

He gets a 2-year deal..drafted by Houston when Kubiak was there in 2010''local favorite from Colorado State

Broncos are clearly shopping in the bargain bin....TE....safety... DL.....OG..4 low-price pickups

Say what you will, but Denver is not going to be quite as good next season as they have been so far. Losing guys like Franklin, J.Thomas, Knighton, and Moore, and replacing them with lesser talent. Significantly lesser talent I may add. Owen Daniels is a good TE, but no Thomas. Franklin is a stud, and Smith isn't. Knighton will be a major blow on defense. They're going to be one of the top 5 teams, but just not as good as they have been.  They need to hit big in the draft and get a good run stuffing DT and a good Guard.

IF AJ, Gore, and Henny don't "come through" for at least THIS season then Grigs may very well be shopping for a new job.

I like what Indy has done but damn...       These three ALL have ton of miles on the tread.            But they are only one or 2 year rentals.    But Indy has to get that production out of them or Grigs is probably gone.

Oh and not to mention the little bit of pressure on him to HIT on this DRAFT, not just the first rounder...  but he needs to get some depth on this team.

Just saying...    It's not as easy as it appears.....

Dio you really want to [predict that Denver wont be as good for the 4th year in a row?

Orlando Franklin is a very good run blocker but nobody called him a stud when he was with Denver.

Denver is switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4....which may explain hot they were out of the Pot Roast chow line early.

Rahim Moore was the poor kid who got beat for the game tying TD against Balt in 2012....and Kubiak's need for his TEs to block

made Julius Thomas expendable.

With that said....I don't know 3 of the 4 guys they picked up..even though they started.

So, you're right, we'll have to wait and see

I don't know why you think Grigson's job is on the line now....   like he's underachieved so far so he really has to step up now....

Could he get fired if we don't reach the SB this coming season?    Sure.    But I think it would be a huge mistake.   I would think Irsay would be happy with the job Grigson has done so far.    But owners are strange creatures...   there's no way to know...

Does Grigson have to have a seriously good draft this year?    Ahhh,  yeah.   I just don't want him making decisions based on 2015 alone.   He also has to have a long-term vision so we can sustain excellence.

Irsay is not going to fire Grigson anytime soon. All you have to do is look at his track record. You don't fire a GM that has rebuilt a team from scratch in three years making the playoffs each year. Irsay is hands on more than you might think about who Grigson picks and chooses. Irsay was the Colts GM before hiring Polian. Where do you come up with these thoughts?

I don't understand why Grigs job is on the line....he's doing as good a job at GM as anyone else taking us 1 step further every year. I don't see him getting fired this year unless we somehow end up missing the playoffs....and with our division, that's gonna be very hard to do.

    • Trade him? He just handed him a nice extension.
    • Yes, thanks, you’re right. When the Panthers traded to get the 1 is when Ballard said he didn’t have all the information to make the trade. That’s strange to me.  “Didn’t want to make a blind decision without all the information,” Ballard told reporters Monday. “I know for people, they might not understand that. But I think history kind of tells you that when you do that, you better know what you’re getting. And we weren’t quite ready to do that at that time. And then we feel like there’s enough depth in the draft that we were gonna be okay.”   This was in late March. Ballard had a chance to get the 1 and use it to take Stroud not Young. I think it’s strange he said he didn’t move up to 1 because it would have been a “blind decision.” Why would it be a blind decision in March? Why wouldn’t you know what you’re getting? You’re getting whoever you want if you get the 1. It didn’t happen, but Ballard could have recognized that Stroud was going to be superior, could have made the trade and could have drafted him. Ballard admits it never occurred to him to attempt the trade because it would be a “blind decision.”
    • I cringed after seeing the way his leg bent underneath him to the point of him sitting down on it. Buckner is one tough dude and to see him needing help to get off the field is when I knew he was going to be out for a while.
    • He probably felt confident Bowers would still be on the board at 15 once he made it past NYJ at 11.  He could've been trading up with other teams to move up to get Brock Bowers, but unfortunately, the Raiders had their eyes set on him and took him at 13.
    • Not now...   Let the year play out. Maybe at the end of the season...
