KRAVITZ: Hilton is quiet around microphones, but boisterous on the football field

INDIANAPOLIS -  When you want to write a column about Colts' emerging star T.Y. Hilton, the last thing you do is talk to T.Y. Hilton. Not that he's media-unfriendly like, say, Marvin Harrison or LaRon Landry. If you want a few minutes of his time, he will happily oblige.

It's just that, well, he doesn't say much of anything. You'd get more insight out of a mollusk. So you make arrangements to work around the less-than-voluble T.Y. You talk to everybody else, to Chuck Pagano and Hilton's mentor, Reggie Wayne.

You do that because you cannot write about the Colts' four-game winning streak – soon to be five after they dispatch the injury-riddled Bengals Sunday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium – without spending significant time discussing Hilton's early-season heroics. Not only is he coming off a 223-yard game, but he's now reached 200-plus yards in both regular-season and post-season games faster than anybody in NFL history (40 games).
