That's true but they don't have a really good WR.  Bowe seems like he's declining and Avery is more of a #3 WR.  Maybe they'll go OL in Round 1 and WR in Round 2.

The only problem I have is Cleveland trading down twice. First they have a lot of picks, 5 of them in the top #83, and a total of ten. This is an incredibly deep draft, so you could argue trading down if they plan to use the extra picks is a good idea. My thought though is with those first 5 picks, you can make some real impact now, and they need to. Cleveland is losing its fanbase with all the questionable moves by management. What do you think fans will say if they trade back, miss on picks they wanted and could have had, for more picks that may come next year. They need an impact draft NOW, or you are going to see more fans fleeing and comparing the front office to the three stooges.

With a QB like Alex Smith you don't need really good WRs. All their WRs have to do is run short routes and have good hands OR run long long routes to open up the field for the RBs or the TEs.

 

Having said that, I agree they should address the line or get prepared for a regressing season by Alex Smith.

 

Having said THAT, I think they can wait until the second round and later for their run at fixing the Oline. I could see them drafting a promising TE to really ensure that Smith continues on the upward trend in Andy Reid's system.

They don't "need" to. I didn't see the value for them at pick 26. I think any WR /CB/G there is a reach. Who would you have taken at 26?

A couple of things.

 

1.If we take Carr over Bortles and Manziel I will puke.

 

2. David Yankey isn't a 2nd round pick much less a 1st. I wouldn't take Yankey in the first 3 rounds. 

 

3. If Minnesota offered anything less than their 1st round pick next year I would tell them to stuff it. There are 4 maybe 5 elite prospects and trading out of that spot for David errr Derek Carr would be a colossal mistake. 

 

 

The Browns already have 11 draft picks, we do not need to be trading down. If anything we need to be moving up from 26!

 

Unless someone like Jacksonville gives us their 1st round pick in 2015 for our #26 spot, there is no reason for us to move down. I'd bet money, we would move up rather than down.
