NFL officiating is horrible!

There's no conspiracy. The NFL is in the business of making money. The big market teams will get the calls. The PI in the Patriots game was ridiculous, the one in the Ravens game was worse. If they're going to have all these penalties, they need to be reviewable.

yes I agree with you 100%. The nfl is extremely buyest to the big market ( money making ). Teams. I find it extremely distasteful to sau the least...

Clearly,  there is a problem.   I watched the Colts/Bengals game,  and the Browns/Pats game today.

It's a real tossup which officiating crew was the worst today....    The two calls at the end of the Browns/Pats game, clearly suspect.

Plenty of calls and no calls that went against the pats in that game.  How about that ridiculous play where the Pats D caused a fumble and recovered it but the Refs blew the play dead insanely early.  Happened to them several weeks ago too, there was no excuse for them blowing the play dead.

There was a big third down where they were going into scoring territory where Amendola was mugged by Browns defenders and no call.  Forced them to punt and got no points out of it.

It works both ways... and people saying "officials just GAVE the Pats the game" obviously don't know what they're talking about or even watched that entire game.  The Patriots EARNED that win by making plays in the 4th quarter, including a touchdown drive with just over a minute to go and then a masterful onside kick..  and they still had 50ish seconds left and were at the 30 yard line, so even without that pass interference call they still had a lot more plays to try and get the score..  So no, the refs didnt GIVE anything to the Patriots, they just took advantage of their opportunities and made big plays when they needed to.

Reminds me of the early 2000's Pats teams, always somehow just sneaking a win out of tight games..  It really shows the mark of a mentally tough football team and its really going to help them when the playoffs come around and they have all of this experience in tight games and coming back from unlikely situations.

What a day!

It is! Seems receivers can just throw their hands up and get the PI call. If you didn't see it don't call it.

The reversed call in the Colts|Bengals game was sickening. Excuse was that they didn't look at the entire play..What? Don't all scoring plays get reviewed upstairs too? Huge Mistake.. Someone needs punished.

It wasn't a scoring play,  UNTIL they reviewed it.  :dunno:     How bassackward is that?

Game after game this season we are seeing horrible calls by the officials!    Colts have had to reversed reviews this season that showed zero evidence where conclusive is required!

Ravens just won against the Vikings result of a ghost PI call!

Pats beat Browns late on a ghost PI call!

The league needs to get this under control NOW!  These calls / outcomes are starting to look more and more scripted!

I was screaming at the tv. Anything to get the Pats the win, eh?

The officiating is the same or better than in the past. What has changed is the ability to highlight or magnify a call through modern technology.

Refs are graded by the league office and good officiating teams are awarded monetarily with PO games and SB's. It adds up to serious money for them.

Yes just like the Jets and Panthers games? The Patriots were going to score regardless of the call. The game was lost on the onside kick. It was akin to the 4th and 2 game. Scoring was a forgone conclusion. If anything the call helped the Browns giving them more time on the clock for a possible field goal.

It was a questionable call IMO but the Patriots have had more go against them than for them. And this one wasn't the final play.

Uh, no. It was not a forgone conclusion. That is terrible logic. And the call wasn't questionable, it was terrible.
