I can't be the only one watching.  It's a good game so far.  There was a fight earlier when Staley confronted Matthews about a late hit on Kaep.  Jermichael is being his usual overrated self.  Anquan has put up big numbers so far.

As much as we're not supposed to root for big hits and stuff, that was an awesome tackle by Matthews!  Out of bounds or not, I was bouncing on the couch.       The scuffle afterward was even better.

Given how terrible our special teams have been since, well, forever...heck no! Even though our ST are MUCH improved as of last year, I'd say we're still among the beneficiary teams of not having more returns. I've seen us fumble/get jack for return yards and give up long returns/TD's too much over the years to think otherwise.

 

From a non homer perspective, I do wish they were back in the game as they used to be. It added another layer of depth to the game. Too much is being stripped away in the name of safety. These guys are paid, and paid WELL.
