Forgive me for being an elitist dick-head snob....

 

But this is exactly the type of thread that a moderator should've closed a long time ago....

 

One of my least favorite threads since I joined up 51 weeks ago......

 

This is a case of which poster can say something dumber than the next?    And then let's fight about it....

 

This gets a great BIG      :facepalm:        :loco:        :facepalm:        :loco:        :facepalm:        :loco:    from me....

 

OK....   now you can line-up and tell me what a great big jerk I am....    who wants to be first?!

Not that I would stoop as low to name calling but players are going to get cut, Its just a fact, I see no harm in asking what player one of us would cut, We dont have the power to cut anyone of course so I dont really see the real harm, If anything this could be used as a means to explain why said player should be cut (valid reasons not just something liked so and so sucked) of course that may be asking to much of many on a forum so I do get your point

Even if Hilton dropped the ball like 8 times a game I wouldn't cut him just yet and he was a really good player in his rookie year since he was expected to be just kick returning so cutting him is STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

      6 out of 10.  There are a lot of things to feel good about.  Our OL has been pretty much repaired from its dismal '21 and '22 seasons.  We've got young, exciting offensive players, and a young, exciting head coach with an innovative streak.  And if everything works out to its maximum, we'll be playoff bound. However... We still wonder if UberQB can go a full game without being injured. Our deep TE room doesn't really have a sure-fire #1.  There are a lot of guys who could claim it, but none who truly stand out as The Guy so far. Our DL pass rush has a lot of sacks, but not a lot of consistency. Our LB's are among the league leaders in tackles while being pretty dismal at allowing completed passes. CB and FS positions have a lot of young guys, but not a lot of great guys.  If they don't mature like we want, we're sunk.  If they have a lot injuries, we're sunk. Soooo....  yeah, if we don't have a lot of problems, and the young guys mature as planned, we ought to make the playoffs.  But if things go wrong, they're gonna go wrong in a hurry.

      I'm really excited to watch our offense grow. If AR stays on the field I see us being close every week. Steichen and staff will be effective with penalties and turnovers and that gives us a lot of hope to win in the end.

      We should have serious concern that we don't have the speed to cover a high end passing attack, to beat the top ten teams. And our LB's did blitz some last season and were totally ineffective.   Our back seven is lacking and will be problematic.  Ballard who provides the talent, Gus, and our ancient LB and DB coaches are deserving serious scrutinization this season.  Optimism through Blue lenses glasses, it's that time of year.

      60 was the number I had in my mind for a goal over the next few years. Thats a big increase in production but within the 10-20% boost I’m hoping Partridge can give coaching these guys up. With the addition of those two players you mentioned and of course health, it is possible.    If the Colts DL can produce close to that and we have solid development from AR, this team has a real shot at making the divisional round of the playoffs and the division. I really see that happening in the next 2-3 years. To me that is a successful season bc once you are to the 2nd round of the playoffs, every team is capable of winning it all. Make a conference championship and we start comparing to other years of top 10 Colts teams.
