Colts @ Texans Game Day Thread

That was painful. I was pretty angry when my DVR caught up and I couldn't fast forward through non-play time anymore. I just wanted it to end.

Why are people giving Garcon grief over dropping a pass? I only saw one drop on that bunk "defenseless receiver" play and that was good defensive play, not bad receiver play. Did I miss another?

Use Painter. He needs the playing time. Not Collins. What a bad front office decision he was! Polian needs to stay out of making coaching decisions. Reggie was right to be ticked off when they went with Collins above Painter!!

Even Peyton could not of won this one. THe Offensive line looked absoluteely horrible couldn't block. Defense looked undersized. Kravitz was absolutely right. I think Bill POlian has lost his edge. THis team looks horribly coached too

Oh man, that was the worst game I've seen the Colts play. I wasn't expecting them to win this game, but I didn't expect them to play that poorly either. There's very few things (if any!) that went right for us today.

Come on fans one game does not make a season, we were out coached, out played on the offensive line, and the defense needs to practice, corners need to get away from soft coverage, line backers need to play closer to the line. Offense needs to move forward and not step back, which as you all saw the pocket collapse. These are basic coaching adjustment. Collins will be fine once he is settled in, Painter lacks the experience to help. Management needs coaching help to play with the players that were chosen. Good or bad , now we need to make the proper adjustment. Now to the coach it is time to take a man up stance, pep talks pats on the back you know basic moral building not silence. Come on coach man up, yell a little let them know you care.

This is just abject disgrace. After what I witnessd today, there is no point in playing the remaining 15 games.

I do not think I will watch the colts no more till #18 is back.

Get well Mr. Sherriff, we need you in the town.

Yea, we were only out-played in coaching, special teams, passing offense, rushing offense, defense, time of possession, penalties... I'll think of more later :P.

I think Houston actually had more turnovers, but whatever.

Sack, 2 fumbles in the first. Didn't quite expect this, the 2nd fumble was attrocious all his fault. We can blame the OL for the first. WE CANT BLAME IT ALL ON COLLINS THE LINE COULDNT KEEP THEM OUT THE BACK-FIELD....BILL POLAN NEEDS TO GO HIM AND CALDWELL. LET TWO STARTERS GO AND THEY ARE PLAYING FOR ANOTHER TEAM.

If you thought it was rough on the tube you should have been at Reliant Stadium. The game coverage on TV did little to show the DISCONNECT between Collins and the rest of the team. At least Painter was up and down the sidelines interacting and not checked out. Collins needs to tune in and actually join the team. Any punk off the street can wear a colts uniform, maybe a punk off the streets would give a dang and actually TRY! Still gotta back the blue though. Here's to a frontal lobotomy for Collins-maybe he'll wanna be on our side next week. :cheer:

    • I know expectations are high every year and that this is professional football and everything, but I don’t know why the Eagles are always playing like they’re under such pressure since the SB when there was no (well not as much) pressure. Wentz has looked like a trainwreck more than once in simply less than perfect situations. Pedersen looks like he thinks they’re going to fire him. If they would just play the game they would be alright imo.
    • Not acceptable! Every pick must be used on defense, otherwise defensive needs aren't being addressed!
    • Saints 42 Colts 13 Two more Colts go on IR, but are relieved that they don't have to suffer the embarrassment of suiting up for the last two games.
    • Lets talk about the SuperBowl contending roster, where we struggled to make it through the playoffs.  It was never easy.   On the O, we did not have Pollard.  We had Addai instead of EJ.  Just cleaning up the accuracy.   We played basically the same defense as we have now.   We had Marlin Jackson and Kelvin Hayden.   Look at it this way.  Jackson was taken in the first round, and started and contributed immediately.  Hayden was taken in the second round and did the same, but took a bit longer than Jackson.   Compare the contributions those 1st and 2nd rounders had compared to the contributions of Wilson and Ya-Sin.   Bob Sanders in the second round.  Malik Hooker in the first.  Compare their contributions and impact.   LOL.   Freeney  at pick 11 and Nelson at pick 6.  Who had/has greater impact on a game...even the opponents game planning?   WRs/TEs aren't even close.  We need 2 more first rounders just to have the same impact.   Addai vs Mack.  These are probably comparable.  Ballard did well here.  But we don't have a Dominick Rhodes.   Glenn/AC.  Probably a wash.   Saturday/Kelly.  Probably a wash.   Diem/Smith.  Probably a wash.   Scott/Glow.  Probably Scott.   Whomever/Leonard.  Leonard.   We aren't close in talent to the teams we had that contended.  We're not even materially better than we were 6 years ago.
