Thats' just outrageous....

..buy the Broncos covered 13 last week against a better team.

I think LC may give up after the final home game...and it a big game for Denver concerning the top seeds

Unless it gets over 17..take Denver

just have to stop that crazy run game

It depends on if Romeo Crennel can stop the Broncos' offense. If he can limit Peyton, which he always has, the margin would be 10-13 at best. 16 is stretching it, IMO.

But then, if Brady Quinn has to throw to come back from a lead on the road, it could get ugly and make Jamaal Charles less of a factor.

I'd go Broncos 27 Chiefs 13 to barely beat the spread.

That is a huge spread. I don't like that vs a Romeo Crennel defense.

KC Team's frustration may lead to fantastic play in Denver , KC web page

Despite the 20-13 loss and amidst the individual and team records the Kansas City Chiefs broke on Sunday, perhaps what stood out most was the players’ disgust over what goes down as their 13th loss of 2012

None of the players I spoke to were in the mood to praise the record-breaking efforts, but instead they expressed frustration of finding a way to lose despite incredible on-field feats.

“At the end of the day, it’s a tough loss,” Charles admitted. “We fought ourselves the whole way to come back and we came back, but at the end of the day, we lost. The effort was there and my line had to bounce back from last week (which they did), but we came (up) short today.”

A loss is a loss. However, the feeling of disgust after Sunday’s heartbreaker could be just what the Chiefs need to ensure they leave Denver with a Rocky Mountain high instead of another dose of nausea.

Broncos need the special back in special teams before NFL playoffs

FOX on holiday &  Leonhard's  returning punts & their fumbles last week

Strategy    going forward

This is how Broncos coach John Fox put it this week:

"It's like a missed pass or it's like a dropped pass. It doesn't mean you get rid of your receiver or your quarterback because they throw an incomplete (pass). It's something, obviously, we practice every day, every week. It's something we've got to get better at. (Holliday) is the 10th leading punt returner in the National Football League so I don't think we'll be sending him off."

Leonhard will still field punts if the opposing punter is standing on roughly the opponents' 45-yard line or anywhere in Broncos territory. Sunday, Leonhard's bobble came at the Broncos' 6-yard line, so had he not recovered the ball the Browns were looking at spectacular field position.

Holliday lost the ball at the Broncos' 28-yard line early in the fourth quarter — the Browns were punting from their own 33 — but cornerback Chris Harris recovered that fumble.

fox also say miscues  like that  or any miscues can send a playoff team home

I don't think they sit anybody that's not injured. They need the win to cement a first round bye.

Broncos' Peyton Manning says improving more important than playoff seed

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning said he's happy that Denver plans to play its starters Sunday in the regular season finale against visiting Kansas City.

not because the Broncos are still alive in the battle for a No. 1 seed in the playoffs. It's all about improving as a team

"It's a new team, and we need every single opportunity that we can get to improve .. ",     Manning said

. "This is another chance to work on something.

"The fact that we have a chance to improve as a team is important to me. It's been such a 'fast-break' year. (Offensive coordinator) Mike McCoy is trying to cram five years of experience into one year.

"Every opportunity (we get helps), in walk-throughs, in meetings and especially in games."

RE KUPER

the seventh-year Bronco was out on the practice field in full gear with his helmet.

The bad news: During at least one session when other offensive linemen were participating in drills, Kuper was off to the side with a member of the Broncos strength-and-conditioning staff — apparently being tested to see if Kuper is football ready.

I think 16 is just too high. If it were 10, I'd take Denver.
