Classy Is as Classy Does ! Part 5

1. In response to the death of one of their teachers - Jennifer Longworth - in the Richmond Hills explosion tragedy - the Greenwood school system has set up a scholarship program !! For the first 10 years - the scholarship winner MUST be a former student of Jennifer Longworth !!

Not surprizingly - Colts owner Jim Irsay was the FIRST donor to the scholarship fund !! I continue to be amazed by the generousity of this gentleman when it comes to local charitable concerns !!

2. Sunday at the Buffalo Bills home game - a Colts cheerleader agreed to have her head shaved by Colts mascot "Blue" in response to his challenge to raise $10 thousand for Leukemia research.

First - "Blue" put in the effort to raise more than the original $10 thousand - instead raising OVER $22 thousand !!

Secondly - Cheerleader Megan kept her commitment to have her head shaved - but - was joined by a second cheerleader & cancer survivor Crystal Anne !! They both went "bald" in their selfless support of Coach Chuck Pagano !!

Lastly - in yet another "classy move" - BOTH cheerleaders donated their long locks to "Locks of Love" - a charity which makes wigs for children with cancer !!

I don't know about the rest of you - but - I am THRILLED to be a fan of a team of CLASSY individuals - from the owners office - all the way thru the remainder of the organization !!

Also this weekend, Colts player Mike McGlynn replaced $500 dollars worth of presents stolen from the van of a Greenwood family. His wife saw the news report about the theft and told him about it and as soon as the game ended Sunday he was on the phone with them and arranging to replace the stolen items. We are so lucky to have such a CLASS organization from top to bottom.

Glad to be part of an organization that doesn't try to create bad press.

Irsay has done a fantastic job of choosing people that have class and will bring in guys who are all about the team.

Good job to Irsay, the cheerleaders, and McGlynn on representing the Colts in a great way.
