The O Line scares the crap out of me at least at tackle and guard I hope Luck isnt turned into a human pin cushion, Center Im not worried about at this point, and I also think a blind person would cover better then our Corners can with the exception of Powers,

No Darren Evans?

No Griff Whalen?

Andre Smith is #3 TE

K : Adam Vinatieri <---- Will he EVER Retire? lol

I love Darren Evans, Karim has great value in the return game, and now with Moore in the mix...its gonna be even tougher for him tog get a spot. We can't hold 5 or 6 RB's

Griff is a poor man's Austin Collie in my book, but much like RB, we can't have all of them(WR). Sambrano is impressing a lot of people and between those two, I'll take Sambrano all day. The "Stanford Connection" might have to just stay between #12 and #80.

I was taking a shot in the dark at the #3 TE. Up in the air at this point. Allen and Fleener are the only ones that matter unless they get hurt.

No, Vinatieri will never retire. Ever.

I can see Mewelde Moore (Over Karim) and Cassius Vaughn making the roster.

For Moore, it would be surprising for me if he made the team. I don't see him winning a spot over Karim simply because Karim was a #2 back on JAX that actually did ok when MJD was hurt and was a great kick returner. I'd be looking to get more bang for the buck.

Cassius Vaughn might make the roster. The CB situation is such a cluster, I took my best guess.

No way we only carry 6 DL.....or only 4 cbs (are you serious?).....or only 4 safeties. Seriously doubt we only carry 3 TE's, either.

QB - Luck, Stanton, Harnish

RB - Brown, Ballard, Carter, Moore

WR - Wayne, Collie, Avery, Hilton, Brazil

TE - Fleener, Allen, Smith, Miller

OL - Castonzo, Reitz, Satale, McGlynn, Justice, Link, Olsen, Ijalana, Anderson, Baker

DL - Redding, Nevis, Moala, Mathews, Anunoby, McKinney, Chapman

LB - Mathis, Freeney, Hughes, Fugger, Conner, Angerer, Edds, Galippo

CB - Powers, Thomas, Vaughn, Rucker, Chism

S - Bethea, Hines, Merletti, Zbikowski, Lefeged

K - Vinatieri

I think Andre Smith will be the #3 TE. Darren, Carter, & Brown are my 3 RB'

s (No Particular Order). I think we just brought Karim & Moore to add Competition & Scare the 3. And Vinatieri needs to Reitre before his Leg falls off lol

I love Griff Whalen (yes, I'm a Stanford fan), but he is relatively short (actually measured 5'10" at the Stanford pro day) and other measurables are not at NFL level. And, unfortunately, he had to miss the OTAs to finsh school so is behind and has had less time to impress the Colts powers. Of course, he was a walk-on at Stanford and ended up being one of their most reliable, most valuable players, so I would never count him out. He works hard, runs his routes perfectly and has sure hands. At Stanford, he just always managed to get the job done while some players who looked better on paper just didn't get it done. Hope he at least is kept on the practice squad.

As you all probably know, Griff was Andrew's roommate for the last three years. Coby was also part of Andrew's inner circle, not just another teammate. I love having these guys around for Andrew. Sorry the Colts couldn't have gotten David DeCastro too!!

Galippo is way in over his head I think and Reitz was unimpressive against the bull rush to say the least and he gets no push in the run game, I would start Hicks

When he enters the Draft, I say we get Toiolo (Spellcheck). But the other TE Luck had last year

All HAIL Chism!!! :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:

hey now I like him but at this point he gets to start if Im picking only because our other Corners were awful last year with the exception of Powers, I hope Chism is the #2 but Im not counting on it

There is probably 0% chance they cut Vick Ballard since they used a pick on him this year. So I think the 3 are Brown, Carter and Ballard.

Well...I could be wrong but, how many CB's and Safeties do you need? I'm looking at some 2011 rosters from last year and the average is about 5 CBs and 4 Safties on the final depth chart. I guess if I'm off by one CB, I should be thrown in the looney bin and never allowed to post here again.

Karim wasn't the second back. It was Rashad Jennings.

Yeah, neither am I. Maybe he'll be the Nickel CB

My bad. I had Karim on my Fantasy team as a KR in 2010. He was apparently the second back then, because I remember getting extra points from him when MJD went out of the game. So...he was a #2 at some point I imagine. Either way...I think he has more value than Moore in my opinion.

I think he has a real chance as #2 Corner if he can beat out Thomas and I really dont see that as a problem but who knows

Based on College Highlights I watched on YouTube of Thomas & Chism lol, Thomas is known for just Deflecting the Ball even when he could Pick it. Chism, Attacks the Ball & since he's kinda Short, he turns into a RB when he has the Ball in his Hand. IMO

If we only carry 6 DL and 4 CB, we wouldn't even be able to field a defense by about week 8. And usually if you carry 9 db's, one of them is a swing man who can play both cb & s. In our case, perhaps that could be Rucker or Brandon King?

Actually, I would prefer to only carry 9 dbs and use an extra body on the OL or at WR (I like your idea of carrying 6 WR's and think its definitely a possibility given the 4 WR sets we'll be running).

Unless there's an injury in TC I'll be shocked if those three RBs aren't on the 53. Moore may make it if Brown doesn't show the new coaches that he can block.

I thought your roster was a pretty good guess at this point.

Hicks won't make the team, let alone start. Quit being so silly.

1.Have you looked at his highlights? 2.Do you even know where he played at in college?

3.Did you see Reitz get beat by the bull rush, he got no push on the line with the running game

Guards have to be physical maulers, thats not Reitz and that certainly is Hicks

Coffeedrinker and I have already had a discussion with you, remember?

Look, Hicks is so good that 100% of people who scout and evaluate NFL players for a living decided he wasn't good enough to be drafted. I trust their opinion over yours.

Jason Peters went undrafted as well and he is a Left Tackle thats blind side protection right their by an undrafted player, Wes Welker, John Randle, James Harrison, Antonio Gates, Heck Jeff Saturday, very good players can be picked up and have started via the undrafted route, Scouts arent always right

so you call me silly and dont give me any reason you think he will be cut and then say you wont continue to conversation or the supposed debate? Thats whats silly dont you think, Im not thinking he will start realistically, but I have no doubts he will make the team to be honest

IMO Hicks needs a year to learn before considering him starting, but i do like the big boy.

his stance is not good imo, he's feet are way to "apart" (coudlnt find the right english word for it), and he has to to learn the protections

    • You're right.   He's easily 3-4 feet off the ground when he's dunking.   He could come down and tear an ACL
    • As a hockey fan, I really do look forward to seeing how a line change that Ballard and Dodds have touched on works. If they can sub an entire line in and out without much change in performance, this d-line will be wrecking o-lines in every 4th quarter throughout the season.   Combine that with an explosive run game and offense that can wear defenses down, and we will win most of battles of attrition, which will get more and more in depth as the season progresses. A little luck (never a pun intended) especially with health could put this team in position to be dangerous in the postseason.
    • The criteria is the Colts want to keep you but you’re a fringe player. It all comes down to how much the Colts like your nephew. He could surprise and if he does they may not want to put him on the PS out of fear of losing him to another team. The good thing is the Colts love their oline players, and will keep lower level draft picks/UDFA lineman over other positions. There’s quite a few later round guys the colts have kept on that have shown to be pretty good level guys with bright futures.    there’s not really any criteria for being signed to the PS other than they want to see how much better a guy can get over there.    most of the time, an older guy is either ineligible for the PS because of how many games he’s started, or it’s not worth it because you see what the guy is over what he can become (as he’s been in the league a while).   odds are the younger guy gets signed to the ps over the older guy.
    • Remember all those years we watched Mannings fluttering passes downfield? 100 Int's even over his 1st 5 seasons. Not counting many Playoff interception disasters.  No flutters for AR ! Just less closing time for the D.
    • I just read the article on Stampede Blue.  It’s an old clip of him dunking.     I’m pretty sure they told him not to do that during this time.  He did say he’d be throwing with the guys.
