Adams…

Thought I’d post this here since I don’t think it has been discussed yet or if it should be discussed at all, but anyone think Colts should kick the tires on Davante Adams for a 2nd round pick? Or stay away from the diva clown show?

The dude wants out of LV already and probably only wants to play with ARodg in NY! I assume I know Ballards take on this already since he likes his own guys! But why not give it a try for a playoff run, even if DA bolts after this season? 2nd rounder may be too high though for a rental!

He has 2 more years after tg

His year on his current contract but the cap hit is in the high 30 million a year range like i think 36 million...

Davante Adams has two years left on his contract with no guaranteed money left.

It would be my humble opinion that he'll want his new team to "up the ante" for his services.

Plus - the 2nd round pick - is the "beginning" of the trade compensation the Raiders want.

I'm a firm 2 thumbs down on bringing him to Indy.

I don't think the Ravens are favorable to get to a Super Bowl so Adams going there is doubtful.

tbh, I don’t think anyone is.  Only teams that have seemed to separate themselves are the Vikings and commanders.  One has Sam darnold at qb and as happy as I am for him, I think he’s going plateau at some point….and the other has a rookie qb who is pretty good but history says a rookie qb making the SB is highly unlikely.  I know you can never count out KC but that offense idk about, and the Texans are good but how many times do we see the “Free Agent Champs” make it all the way?

regarding the ravens, they seem to be clicking now after the some hiccups.  The Lamar/henry looks amazing, the OL is meh but that’s all you need with Lamar, the defens is good even though they gave up a lot to the bengals (bengals defense sucks!).  Adams would make that offense even more lethal.  Pair him with likely, andrews, flowers…thats a formidable receiving group

This is the best WR room by far in the Ballard era.  The last thing this team needs is Adams.  And he doesn’t want to come to Indy.   He wants to go to a team that could make a deep playoff run.   That’s not the Colts in 2024.
