2023 NFL Weekly Pick'em Games: Week 7

Recommended Posts

So far my totals are:

Week 1 = 9-7

Week 2 = 12-4

Week 3 = 12-4

Week 4 = 11-5

Week 5 = 8-6

Week 6 = 9-6

61-32

So far my bets, I make 2 a week:

Week 1 = 2-0, won $50 on both (+$100)

Week 2 = 2-0, won $50 on both (+$100)

Week 3 = 1-1, broke even betting $50 on both

Week 4 = 1-1, broke even betting $50 on both

Week 5 = 1-1, broke even betting $50 on both

Week 6 = 1-1, broke even betting $100 on both

8-3 and +$200 to the good.

Week 7 picks:

Jags 20 Saints 23

Raiders 19 Bears 17

Browns 17 Colts 20

Bills 31 Pats 16

Commanders 20 Giants 23

Falcons 16 Bucs 19

Lions 23 Ravens 20 OT

Steelers 20 Rams 24

Cards 13 Seahawks 30

Packers 26 Broncos 20

Chargers 20 Chiefs 30

Dolphins 30 Eagles 31

49ers 24 Vikings 23

-only 13 games this week, 6 teams have Bye's.

Getting these out of the way early. Nobody of note got injured on Sunday that would alter my picks. If that changes, I will change a pick if need be.

My 2 $100 bets have yet to be decided. I am going to wait to post those when I get full injury reports on teams. Yes, I am going $100 again on 2 games instead of just $50.

@Chrisaaron1023, @RollerColt, @Moe, @w87r, @chad72, @VikingsFanInChennai, and others, I just created the Week 7 Pick'em thread.

Imma wait until Thursday. That's my usual day for picks.

Raiders and Bears... There are so many backup QB battles this weekend... ugh...

I just figured I would get them out of the way. If I need to change a pick because someone major does pop up as injured, I can always change a pick. I usually wait until Weds. or Thursday as well. I am going to wait before I put a bet down lmao .

I really have to think over some of these matchups...

When backups are in as starters it throws everything out the window. Aiden O'Connell could throw 275 yards with 2 touchdowns and win with Las Vegas, or he could completely implode... I just don't know...

The news about Grover sucks but I will still roll with the Colts. I am actually 8-4 on my bets not 8-3, I had to correct that. Anyway, that Jags at Saints game looks intriguing to bet on. I am leaning toward the Saints, but I haven't done anything yet. They play Thursday and Lawrence has a knee issue. Jags are also due for a loss. Saints are only a 1-point favorite.

Sounds like Lawrence has a "slight" knee sprain and they'd decide only after pre-game warm-up if he plays or not.

So, have got to give two predictions.

If Lawrence plays,

Jaguars  19  @    Saints   16  OT

If Lawrence doesn't play,

Jaguars  13  @    Saints   20

But, Lawrence says he'll play, let's see.

If the Packers lose to the Broncos, Tom Grossi of Packast videos will have a fit.

I don't really like the guy, he's okay, as with everyone, there are some good days and there are bad days. But, he seems to shout a lot and doesn't have anything interesting going on. I'd watch him if he is having a meltdown, as with the most  :funny:

The tide is about to turn this week. Jags are going down tonight and we are going to win on Sunday. Both teams will be 4-3. They do have the tiebreaker but a tougher schedule than we do from here on out. The Simpsons GIF by KiwiGo (KGO)

Do you think they risk playing Lawrence? Was that the effect of too many London game, travel, etc.,?

Especially if they need pre-game warm-up to decide his health, it's not a good situation.

They probably want to get a W, they think he'll have 10 more days to heal up.

Lawrence said he was going to try to give it a go but even if he does, he won't be 100%. I would rest him and not risk further injury. Mainly because they do have the lead in the division anyway. There backup is bad though.

If he aggregates the injury, though... It will be a shame, and they'll have only themselves to blame.

What makes it worse is it's a TNF, so it's a short turnaround even for healthy players!

You are missing 2 games. 53-38 adds up to 91. I am 57-36, @Chrisaaron1023 is 56-37, there should be a total of 93 games and if you have missed an entire week like @Solid84 missed 2 weeks, your record would reflect far fewer games. Something does not add up.

Sorry, if I'm in, I'm all in, and details matter. :)

If you missed predicting 1 game in a week that you did participate in and wish to include that week, it counts as a loss. Week 1 cannot be 8-7, no teams were on a bye. Total is 93 games, so your record is 55-38.

Or you can forego Week 1 totally and start from Week 2, your choice.

Did I get that right @2006Coltsbestever, the rules? :)

Basically, it's a loss unless you're correct :D

In Yahoo leagues, it's a loss if the game ends in a tie when we predicted one of the teams, even when there's no option to pick a tie in the first place!

Here, I think it's marked as tie.

A tie is just a tie. But if you miss picking a game completely it is a loss. Lets say the Browns and Colts tie, and in the rest of your games you go 6-6, then you would be 6-6-1 for example.

These are the standings for a few of us so far: I think these are correct,

1. 2006 = 61-32

2. Moe = 60-33

3. w87r = 57-36

chad72 = 57-36

Chrisaaron = 57-36 (3 way tie for 3rd)

4. coltsva = 56-37

5. RollerColt = 55-38

EasyE = 55-38 (tie here between Easy and RC for 5th)

@Moe, we both have the Saints tonight. Lawrence is playing but I still got the Saints.
