You have some decent players picked out, but

I truly dont see it going that way , especially at QB

IMHO

We really need to get one of QB1, QB2, or QB3 with this pick, not trade it away

I agree with Mike.  This really is the year we draft the potential franchise QB IMO.  Hopefully, we won’t draft below #19 for many years.  While none of these QBs are perfect, I think Stroud, Young, and Levis all have a decent chance of developing into a good NFL QB.  Much more than anyone within reach for the last five years…

Zay Flowers is good but not first round good. He is still a slot guy and I don't see many (or any lately) slot guys go in Round 1 in NFL draft. Cooper Kupp, T Y Hilton were Round 3, Jordy Nelson could play outside and inside and went top of Round 2, which is the highest Zay Flowers would go, IMO.

I agree with both of you if that guy was there . But I think that the top 3 guys aren’t much better then McKee . I believe McKee will be the best QB in this draft . He’ll need time to adjust he can do everything we need him to . It’s between him and Levis . If we got Levis I’d be content. Young’s mobility and size worries me stroud I’m crazy about

Here is the thing. If you remember, Ashton Dulin caught several deep balls from Wentz. Parris Campbell even caught one, if I remember right this last year. A lot of our issues were because with both Rivers and Ryan, we had arms that couldn't split a safety and CB with elite arm talent. Wentz had that arm talent but a ten cent head. We just needed to take a few shots every game to keep Ds honest, which is what most elite offenses do. Once they realize your QB has the arm talent, it opens up things for JT and the underneath. Rivers compensated with great reading of Ds and threw in the right spots for lots of YAC, Wentz and Ryan did not do it nearly as consistently.

If you look at elite offenses like the Bengals, Bills, Chiefs, yes they have that marquee No.1 guy but they use them more often as a decoy to play the inside out game, like in basketball, taking the 10-15 yarders consistently while taking shots once or twice a quarter, which is what we should be doing. We don't need a speedster on Day 1 or Day 2 of the draft, there will be specialist WRs available for that later, we need to focus on guys that can separate faster, need more of those.

I for one would be looking at the 3 cone drill numbers in combo with straight line speed. A 4.4-4.5 WR with a sub 6.9 seconds 3 cone drill, good candidate for the slot and separation.

I like McKee too, but not as much as you do.  If we somehow got to the 2nd round without selecting a QB, I’d be shouting McKee’s name…but, I’d put money on Stroud, Young, and Levis becoming better QBs.

I’ll take that bet . Remember all the team scouts say this about him he played with guys that weren’t good . Flat out it’s not him everyone else stinks . If he was on Alabama he’d be number 1

Well.....

At 6 we MAY still get QB2, or QB3

It may be too risky for my blood

Anyone that wants to come up to 4 is gonna want a QB

Price will be too high for a QB. Ballard looking at QB in the second IMO so 6 and 18 for 4 and 35… then look for trade partners to add more second rounders. Ideally, ending up with picks around pick 18 and 32, 36, 45… Get some much need pieces with a collection like that. I would only give #4 and two 3rds 2024, 2025 for the Bears at #2 (After Houston over pays)
