Colts Mock Draft 5.0 with trade (4/6/12) (Reposted)

Recommended Posts

Team Needs: QB, WR, TE, OG, DE, NT, CB, LB

Round 1 Pick 1: Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

- The pick is locked in. Andrew Luck will be the quarterback for Indianapolis for the next 10+ years.

*Indianapolis Colts trade pick 34 to the Bills 2nd round pick (41st pick) and the Bills 4th round pick (105)

Round 2 Pick 41 (From Bills) : Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford

- Andrew Luck gets his favorite target from college and the Colts need a tight end after loosing Clark and Tamme. Fleener is a dangerous passing threat, sort of like Rob Gronkowski, and can block as well.

Round 3 Pick 64: Kevin Zeiter, OG, Wisconsin

- The offensive line needs to improve even with the additions of Samele, Justice, and McGlynn. Zeiter is one of the best guards in the draft after having a great career in Wisconsin.

Round 4 Pick 97: AJ Jenkins, WR, Illinois

- AJ Jenkins is a very underrated wide receiver who has the height, the speed, and great hands that can make him a future number one receiver. Luck gets his deep threat weapon with this pick.

Round 4 Pick 105: Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt

- The Colts cornerback position was awful last season and even Jim Irsay said so. Hayward handles tall receivers well and has great speed for his small size.

Round 5 Pick 136: DeMario Davis, ILB, Arkansas State

- DeMario Davis is a fast explosive linebacker who could have great potential in the next level. Him and Angerer aside each other could be dangerous.

Round 5 Pick 170: Nicholas Jean-Baptiste, NT, Baylor

- Even with the addition of Brandon McKinny, the Colts still need a nosetackle.

Round 6 Pick 206: Evan Rodriguez, FB, Temple

- Andrew Luck had a fullback in college that can block and catch. Rodriguez is the best fullback in the draft and can perform well as a tight end.

Round 7 Pick 208: Levy Adcock, OT, Oklahoma State

- Very underrated tackle and can give the Colts depth at the tackle position.

Round 7 Pick 214: Vaughn Meatoga, DT/DE, Hawaii

- Gives depth for the 3-4 Defensive End position.

Round 7 Pick 235: Jeremy Lane, CB, Northwestern State

- Mr. Irrelevant goes to Jeremy Lane for cornerback depth.

I'd be really happy if this happened but I would change the AJ Jenkins pick to Tommy Streeter and the DeMario Davis pick to AJ Jenkins because I think they'll both be there and Streeter has more #1 potential than Jenkins.

Don't see this as happening though one can imagine. We now have 10 picks, don't know that we need additional ones, cap and money being the reason. There is good chance Fleener won''t be available at 34, surely he wouldn't still be there by 41.

Going OG that high is to high as well given our recent free agent splurge and Im sure not waiting to the 4th round to pick a Corner, I want a potential starter this year their is enough to choose from that are good, one will drop to us
