I really don't do predictions but most every year there are around five teams in both conferences who over achieve or under achieve according to the so called sports gurus or experts.

There is just way too many variables that can change the outlook of any team.

Very hard to predict which teams will fall off and which ones will rise. Like CrazyColt said there are about 5-6 teams that flip flop every year.

What I will predict are the teams that I think step forward and the ones that step back. I will just do the AFC.

AFC East - the biggest surprise I think with be the Dolphins. They contend for the division but fall short of the Bills. This assumes Tua plays and is healthy.

The Patriots take the biggest step back for obvious reasons. They go from 12 wins last year to 6-7 wins this year and finish third.

AFC South - Tenn wins the division. They figure out Houston and win the tight games they lost early last year before Tanny came in.

AFC West - Oakland takes a step forward and becomes a wild card. Denver wins 8-9 games.

AFC North - toughest division to predict. I think Ravens fall back as no way they win 14 again. They still win the division but the Browns keep the pressure on all season. Steelers finish last place. Ben is cooked.

I doubt Tannehill repeats his performance from last year. They should contend though.

Why not?  He will be the starter from day one unlike last year and still have the beast at RB. The Titans did lose some defensive pieces though.

Losing Conklin doesn't help he won't be bad but won't be as good

AFC North - Ravens win the division and HFA, Browns get a wild card spot

AFC East - Bills win the division

AFC South - Colts win the division, Titans get a wild card spot

AFC West - Chiefs win the division

Ravens vs Chiefs in AFCCG

Patriots are in purgatory and finish at .500 at 8-8, Texans take a big step backwards and BOB is finally fired after finishing below .500.

NFC North - Vikings win a few close games to win the division and get a bye week. Packers get a wild card spot edging out the Bears.

NFC East - Cowboys win the division

NFC South - Bucs win the division, Saints miss the playoffs

NFC West - Seahawks win the division and HFA, 49ers get the 2nd wild card spot

Seahawks vs Vikings in NFCCG

Is it for the 2020 season or next? I really don't know.

Pretty sure it starts this year.

I think 17 game schedule starts next season.

Could be wrong though, w/o looking up.
