Latu was playing Rugby 2 months after his surgery, apparently without complication, and before heading to UCLA. Have not seen where there has been any medical setbacks since the surgery. -

As far as Latu and the draft, here is something from WalterFootball.com: Yes, Penix. I believe this to be true: The coaches and general managers wanted Latu, but Arthur Blank overrode everyone because he wanted a “succession plan,” whatever the hell that is. And if you don’t think that’s possible, all I need to do is point to the Panthers last year when David “Axe” Tepper thought he knew more than his coaching staff and front office when he went against their wishes and selected Bryce Young over the preferred option, C.J. Stroud. -

Kirk's contract is 4 years? Btw, do you think the Vikes will make another trade into the 2nd or 3rd round today? I think KAM/Vikes made two good trades yesterday. If they did not make the trade with the Jets, another team may have drafted JJ. The dropoff from JJ to Nix is huge IMO -- it was not worth the risk to stay at 11. Trading 6 spots to get Dallas Turner cost us a 3rd and 4th rounder next year but if he can replace Hunter, he will be worth the draft capital. NFLfan is pleased 😄
