MARCH MOCK 2017

Recommended Posts

No EDGE in the draft at all? I don't buy that Lawrence could play as a rush OLB, SAM at a push. And the best OLB hitting the market will be Nick Perry who will cost a bomb since he's the best in the market.

But i I don't think our pass rush will improve too much with this.

Agreed. Lawrence would be more of a 4-3 DE that could kick inside on passing downs, but I don't see him as a 3-4 OLB, especially being the primary pass rusher.

Mock Draft March 2017

1. Marshon Lattimore CB

2. Demarcus Walker DE

3. Joe Mixon RB

4. Jaylen Reeves-Maybin ILB

4. Montae Nicholson S

5. Danny Isidora OG

6. Austin Rehkow P

FA: OG, DT, OLB

Slim to none that Lattimore makes it out of the top 5, and ZERO he makes it out of the top 10 picks. I'm a Buckeye guy and would love to have him, but he won't make it near our pick.

Again no OLB in the first 3 rounds.

Not trying to be a deutschebag, but it's apparent that OLB is the greatest weakness of the team by far. Even Vontae Davis mentioned it. With a line up of Maggitt-Morrison-Jackson-Walden, we need to overdraft LBs in the draft and FA.

Here's a much better draft.

1. Takkarist McKinley (OLB) or Charles Harris, Derek Barnett

2. Raekwon McMillen (ILB) or Jarrad Davis

3. Jordan Willis (OLB)

4. Jamal Williams (RB) or Brian Hill

4. Marquel Lee (ILB) or Connor Harris

5. Josh Tupou (NT)

6. BPA

Don't think lattimore makes it to us but hey if he does no hesitation. Walker is really nice, but a better scheme fit would be an alternative. Love Joe Mixon I'm 100% with you if he's there in the 3rd pull the trigger. Maybin I'm not so high on, really under sized and injuries. Love Montae Nicholson, probably doesn't last this long but again great prospect. Rather go D in the 5th then an o-lineman that won't compete for playing time. Like Austin Rehkow as a punter gets great hang time but his kick offs don't impress me. Doesn't have the strongest leg. Definitely no boom stick, I miss him already.
