Cordrea Tankersley

He holds way too much. Kinda like his former teammate Mackenzie Alexander. He'll have to change his technique or he'll be penalized in the NFL. Definitely has talent though, I wouldn't mind taking him in the 2nd but I think better players will be available.

Since the class is so deep at corner this year, I think there will be better corners available in the early to mid 2nd. I'm still hoping Desmond King or Jourdan Lewis hang around until our 2nd. I'd run to the podium if they were.

For Lewis yes. But King is short with short arms and he struggled all week at the Senior Bowl. He's probably more of a 3rd-4th round guy.

I have become fond of the idea of grabbing a first round cb if the pass rushers and foster are gone. Sydney Jones along with Vontea could be a great combo. And when vontae is out we actually have someone to hold his spot

I think Tankersley would be a nice pick up in the second round since he's a first round talent, but he does hold a bit. He's tall and lengthy with long arms which is good for breaking up passes, but he'll need to fix his penalty issues...if he fell to our second round pick, I would be happy to take him unless we take another corner in the first

I like Tankersley better than Lewis for Indy... Lewis might be a better corner overall, but I don't think he ends up on the outside in the NFL and that is where we need help.

Well Lewis measured in at 5'10" at the Senior Bowl but he has super long arms. I think he'll be fine on the outside.

He also played press 60% of the time, and QB's had a 37.9 passer rating throwing against him. Better than every corner that attended the senior bowl. (And there was talented corners there)

Good points, for sure... I have noticed that many posters on the forum like him. I have also noticed that a lot of mocks have him going to teams that need an outside corner.

I might just be clouded by his height and wrong about him in general. Thanks for the info.

    • Wait what? Really? Have they watched the same games we have?!
    • The money really isn’t an issue to me, tbh. First of all, our ultra frugal GM makes sure to leave plenty of unused cap space, so it’s not like we need that money elsewhere.  Second, with the way the cap increases every year that deal’s percentage of cap space shrinks every year, and even at its highest %, it was peanuts.    While everyone else lost their minds about the deal being a record for a kicker that has always been a nonstarter for me, and in the grand scheme it’s not a huge deal.    Not getting what we paid for is another story, however.
    • Kind of funny actually considering he was the forum whipping boy all thru preseason and camp
    • It's just weird not seeing linebackers reading runs and going forward to drill rb's in a hole.   Leonard's turnover creating peanut punches and interceptions helped mask how weak our D's were. Ballard is a failure at producing a contender type D.  And there are more than enough points on the graph as proof.
    • It is crazy. The fanbase thinks they were going to avoid the whole team struggling. But the Colts D is even worse this year and young Ant Rich doesn't even play D lol. If this keeps up, Gus is gonna get on the bus outta town. Speakin of "Stop it," I'd like to see this D stop somethin, stop anything. Stop the run, stop the pass, and do not let da Bears, with their rookie QB and trash oline, look like a real offense, or I'll panic for real. The D needs to get this turned around so that "My Bad" Bullhead Ballard will still be here to extend some more contracts. Ol' Jimmy I. is patient, but I bet he doesn't like looking like a fool.     NFL defense rankings 2024   30. Indianapolis Colts (28): Worst NFL defenses 2024 Let’s put things into perspective with this Indianapolis Colts defense. Malik Willis, who entered Sunday with a career 48.7 QB rating, completed 85.7 percent of his 14 pass attempts for 1 touchdown and 126.8 passing yards. That means through two weeks, this Colts defense has allowed a 115-plus QB rating in consecutive games. As for the Colts run defense, this group surrendered over 200 rushing yards for the second consecutive week. It’s inexplicable why Gus Bradley was retained and even more baffling why this unit wasn’t adequately addressed by GM Chris Ballard this offseason. Ultimately, it will be the Colts’ undoing.   https://sportsnaut.com/nfl-defense-rankings/
