Actually, after thinking about it. Why in the world did the refs call that play dead? The Lions recovered and would have returned it for a TD.

I never understood why refs would call that play dead. Let the play run its course and then decide what the call is. I mean.. can't the Saints just argue that "we heard the whistle so we stopped playing and that's why we didn't recover the fumble"
