Mock Draftable chart: http://mockdraftable.com/player/5000/position/23/

Games watched: vs Vanderbilt (2013), vs Boise State

The Good:

Good length for the position at 6'2".

Can get physical in man-coverage and re-route receivers.

Good closing burst.

Doesn't look out of place when playing center-fielder. Understands his assignment and stays true to it. He's, for better or worse, going to play within the confinements of his system only.

Fine tackler with good form. Gets low, wraps up, doesn't lunge. Takes good angles to the football.

Can lay the wood when he's able to build up a head of steam.

Seems to have soft hands for the pick.

The Bad:

Marginal athlete. Speed, quickness, agility, and power aren't there. As far as athlete's go, he's a JAG.

Doesn't look to get involved in gang-tackles.

Stiff in space and lacks ideal agility.

More of a reactive player. Doesn't show anticipation or natural instincts in coverage. He's not going to be the type of player to routinely jump routes.

Doesn't get head turned when running down the field.

Inconsistent reading run plays. Or at least he is good at reading them, but chooses to hold his edge (which goes back to him only playing in the confinements of his system)

Conclusion:

Very meh tape overall aside from a few highlight hits and pick on a terribly thrown ball. Prewitt probably fits best in cover-2 defense where he can play purely in a zone and use his closing burst and hitting ability to punish opposing receivers over the middle. He looks like an ITB saftey, but doesn't have the demeanor. He can be a starting caliber safety, but I don't see anything that would make me think he could be any more.

NFL coaches will love him. By all accounts, he's a student of the game. He also doesn't go "rogue" and plays his assignment the way it was drawn up.

Projected Round: 3rd

NFL Comparison: Louis Delmas, MIA
