But I think Bridgewater did prove you wrong.    He had a much, much better year than Smith has ever had.

Where? Geno totalled 18TD's his first year, where as Bridgewater totalled only 15. Granted, Geno's INT's were higher but he did throw ~40 more passes. Absolutely, if Bridgewater were given those same extra 40 passes his TD's could have gone up, or he could have thrown more picks. All hypotheticals, but Bridgewater really didn't have a MUCH better year. his completion % is good, hell better than Luck has ever had, and oddly enough Geno and Luck aren't far off from each other in career completion %. Point being, is Bridgewater closer to Geno or closer to Luck? We all know that answer. Smith and Bridgewater aren't but a few baby steps away from each other in terms of what they have done.
