A reach, A want, A need

Recommended Posts

I havent seen much or him but from what I have he has all the potential in the world. Serious value as a nose tackle who can play 3 downs.

I dont know too much on him myself, but I have seen him a few times and man is he a load. Very strong at the point of attack, definitely demands double teams and not only does he clog running lanes, he'll get push in the pocket and even get to the QB here there. So he can provide pressure too. I wouldn't mind him maybe in the 3rd or 4th if he's there. But I don't know what his stock is for the draft yet. Haven't really started looking too much into the 2015 draft yet. In the first as of right now I want Denzel Perryman. A strong athletic thumper.

Reach: Gerod Holliman FS - we need a safety and Holliman could one day become a great safety. He is one dimensional at the moment and should be drafted no higher than the 2nd round.

Want: Shaq Thompson SS - He plays LB/S/RB/whatever the Huskies need at the moment, I feel he could be a stud safety in the mold of Troy Polamalu in that he is always near the ball making plays, I think he could even be a Patrick Peterson type player in that he could play offense or anywhere else you need a playmaker, very impressive

Need: Alvin "Bud" Dupree OLB Kentucky - we have to improve our pass rush if we want to compete for a Super Bowl, we have to get someone who can rush the passer without the benefit of a blitz

DT could be a need too. I thought the Colts were going to take a DT last draft. A lot of places had us taking the DT from UPenn who ended up going to the Titans, Daniel McCullers from Tenn.,etc...I think this year the play of Chapman might make it an urgency at this point. Not a 1st round need, but definitely something to consider.

I know this would be a big reach, but can you imagine this defense adding DE Leonard Williams? Pairing him with Arthur Jones on the other side, and Chapman in the middle would make this DL great. Williams has drawn comparisons to Richard Seymour and he would give us a stud on defense to build around.

We would most definitely have to give up our 1st and 1st next year to move up, if not more to get him. But he would instantly change our defense for the better.

My want is OLB Vic Beasley if he lasts which is a possibility.

My need is FS/CB Senquez Golson, who could be had in the 3rd round. Undersized guy, but he could easily play FS and is similar to Tyrann Mathieu.

Uh I thought Reaches were for players that you have ranked lower but reach for out of need......Going with that:

Reach: Lael Collins.......Overrated, Dont have a great hand punch, Is not very mobile. Gets top heavy consistently and slides off his man to much......dont want him

Want: Jaelen Strong

Yeah that is the normal meaning of "reach". I like Collins as a guard prospect. I agree he is overrated in one sense, in that he is being projected into the front half of the first round in many mocks. While I don't think he's a true tackle at the next level, immobile he is not. He is a great second level blocker. I think his true value is second round and I believe he's a better player than Ogbuehi. I listed him as a want because of our O-line struggles, but I actually like his teammate Vadal Alexander even better as a prospect at OG. He's a road grading guard, very good run blocker and reliable in pass protection. Alexander is a junior and may not declare though.

Yeah watching more of him immobile wasn't the right word but I would not touch him till the 2nd and even then I'd choose several players before him, His technique is just to raw, He is a Guard no doubt who could play RT
