Jammed mine like that Sunday. You try so hard to catch with your hands instead of your body, sometimes your finger gets caught as a victim

Could also be the WR's not getting their hands spread open enough so their finger doesn't get caught

Jammed mine like that Sunday. You try so hard to catch with your hands instead of your body, sometimes your finger gets caught as a victim

 

I've caught a lot of footballs from a lot of different arms (including Jugs at close range). I've walked away with stinging hands, but I've never jammed my finger catching a football. 

 

Jammed fingers tons of times playing basketball, but never football. Weird...
