I will say this.. If they pull Cruz or Fitz it explains why we didn't sign Avril or Kruger.. They knew they needed the money and if theyve been working on this for 5 days then they knew all along. They were going after WR and gained other positions cheaper because of it

Well...if we didn't sign Walden to that crazy deal we maybe could have afforded one. That said it would certainly make sense that they've been zeroed in on a big target because we signed a lot of second tier guys in free agency.

The Vontae Davis trade worked out pretty well. He's not a second tier guy.

Cruz keeps making more and more sense. If they were making an offer for him, they'd want it to be something that doesn't cripple the Colts, pays Cruz fairly, and prevents the Giants from matching. I would imagine trying to meet those criteria for a contract would be a difficult and time-consuming task.

The Giants could agree to take something other than this years #1. Which would be Great.
 

Cruz is a touchdown machine, so wouldn`t defenses be inclined to roll towards Cruz and T.Y. leaving a now slower Reggie in a better situation to isolate against a weaker defender?  
 

 

 One year of pulling all these new folks together building solid unit cohesiveness.
 Then in the last year of Reggie, Redding, contracts, while Mathis & Bethea still have juice, 3rd year of the Luck draft class,

 and all this years FA`s will have 6-7 years of NFL experience. The Monster challenges to go to the SB.
