That is how you win postseason games, all 53 players doing their job, some stepping up and not making too many critical mistakes....we did make a few too many mistakes, but vs a team that was clearly not in sync, they weren't costly. Offense: there were not many individual outstanding games, just a lot of guys contributing, Luck's (27-43-265) numbers weren't great and the 2 interceptions were head scratchers, he did manage the game very well. Hilton (4-72) did enough and 8 players had reception
Sometimes I find myself watching Colts games, let me take that back it is not sometimes it's every game; most post game interviews, and a literal ton of nonexistent highlight film. Here are some phrases that I tend to find myself repeating; Andrew Run! Andrew F***ING RUN! Who was covering that tight-end? Damn it Greg. Block. BLOCK. BLOCK! Hold on to the ball. A few others as well, though I'm sure you get the point. Do not take me wrong: in no way am I complaining just speaking my mind or typing
I had this idea that involves Andrew Luck not only running more but the addition of a read-option; that in theory could not only save him unnecessary hits, turnovers and possibly improve the running game out of the shotgun formation: but also increase the longevity of our quarterback. I know what some of you may say "but wouldn't running expose him to more damage?" Well yes, but with his intelligence and deceptive speed/wiggle he could do a lot of damage and sneak out of bounds or bust out the o
A very good effort in all three phases and a nice tuneup, it's not going to be that easy vs the broncos and the *s, if it gets that far. Every defense wants to make the opposing offense, one dementional, the bengals were pretty much that way, before the game ever began. With their great WR (Green) and very good TE (Gresham) out, the Colts were able to stack the box vs their great RB (Hill) and limit him and in essence, shut them down. This is still the NFL and the post season and these teams ar
Good day colt fans, Sunday is approaching fast and as a life time colts fan I write my thoughts! Trust me when I say, I would love to see our beloved team win the SB, however this wish will become just another pipe dream! We will never win a championship with the current front office and coaching staff! It's appalling when you read the latest moves or trades by the great Grison and hate to say but New owenership wouldn't hurt as well, not to judge but, the poor man has a drug and alcohol problem

What do you guy's think? Should Pagano have sent Adam out for that kick, I don't think he should have, unless he went to Adam first. Being a 46 yd. that put a lot of pressure on Adam, so sorry that he missed!
The more I watch his videos the more I want to see him get a chance to run. TRich has had several years and he is a bust. Example look what Hill(Rookie) has done for the Bengals.Let our Rookie run free. Zurlon Titon- The run on 30s shows power Zurlon Tipton Senior Day Performance versus EMU:
Vison and Running style almost the same Edgerrin James Highlights:
Mission successfull ( hopefully-injuries?)The mission was to win, try to get some mojo back and not lose anybody to injury...check, check and wait and see, as several players left the game with injuries, didn't seem like they were serious, but with next weekends game, the goal is to be at full strength or as close as possible, we will see. I will never be onboard or understand the mindset, that we play 16 games...regardless....Super Bowl appearances are few and far between, you will be lucky to
I have been a fan of Zurlon Tipton's powerhouse and downhill run game ability since I saw his pre-season performance. I believe he deserves more reps at the RB position because we need a powerback guy to run the ball like that. Tipton's running style sort of reminds me of Vick Ballard's.The more on-field experience he has, the better he will get. What does anyone else think of this suggestion?
In planning to make the trek back to Indy for the Colts' playoff opener next weekend and needing to get flights booked, anyone know which day (Saturday or Sunday) and approximate time the Colts will be playing? Thanks!
I have read quite a few opinions recently about how the Colts have an average to below average team and how Luck masks some of that, it's not a new opinion, heard it a few times during Peyton's tenure. Having a great QB, will mask some issues, but I always wondered how they would come to that conclusion, we as fans, tend to elevate our players and think they are the best, but it still didn't really make sense to me. We just had 5 selections to the Pro Bowl and have 2 additional players , who hav
Week 1 to week 16, Pagano says the same thing at each presser, "we have to fix......" Can he do it in less than 12 days before play-offs? I think not. Grigson has a total of 16 draft choices on this roster, THE LOWEST IN THE LEAGUE!!!! Talent is not his strong suit, e.g. T.Rich. We have yet another in a long line of outstanding QB's who will go down in flames because we never seem to have the management in place to build a team around them that endures e.g. The Patriots.
Haven't seen too many games over the past 16 years, that looked that bad, a complete domination in all 3 phases of the game. Still not sure what it means, teams can look really bad, one week, then look dominant, the next, but this was really bad and so complete, I think there has to be something made of it, nothing surprises me anymore in the NFL, it only takes 3 wins in the postseason to get the Super Bowl and even teams with holes, can play really good, for a short stretch, I think one other
Being a native of the Cleveland area it has become hard to enjoy our football team. Not necessarily because they're bad all the time, but because the fans make it worse than it really is. Yes Johnny Manziel got blown out in his starting debut. But so did the rest of the offense and defense. But al that blame over such a bad game is being placed on the QB position by the fans. Common sense tells you need a team to win. This is what has led me to follow the Indianapolis Colts a little more each we
Congrads on another division title...That's 4 wins in a row, we hear how teams that get on a roll at the end of the year, often carry that momentum into the postseason and how it's very hard to win in this league and last week, how we will never apologize for getting a win,but.............we also hear how, we need to be playing our best football in December and January...I hope hoping that despite this current wining streak, that is not our best football Offense: very pedestrian numbers for the
A win is a win,we always hear there are things to clean up and there is a lot of things to clean up, if this team wants to go very far in the postseason, mainly the alarming rate of penalties and turnovers, with a great QB and an explosive offense ( as we have witnessed for 16 years) you will always have a shot, but it's very hard and almost impossible to win in the postseason, when you are beating yourself Offense: Very good game for Luck (24-53-294 and 37 yds rushing) Good move drafting a QB
Tomorrow morning starts 2014's Make-A-Wish telethon at my radio station, WZPL. For many years, this is Dave Smiley's project to raise money to grant as many wishes for kids with cancer as possible. Every year, he raises almost a half a million dollars locally for this great cause. Starting tomorrow morning and going on for 36 hours, you can call in or log on to donate. Many Colts and Pacer players donate and some even come into the studios. Great cause! Click here for more information: htt
It's LeBron being LeBron. I have never been a fan of his for many reasons. He looks like a decent family man and takes great care of his kids + has never been in trouble with the law so I respect him for that - he is also a Great Basketball player, best today. Having said that his ego is outrageous, he left Cleveland in his prime because he couldn't win a Championship. Peyton Manning for example never thought about leaving Indy because he couldn't win for years against the Pats and Steelers in
Yes, that is a fair point some individuals just like to stir the pot & cause controversy & mayhem simply because their life has not turned out as well as they wish it had. Like it's somebody's else's fault that they don't make enough money or have a pretty girlfriend or any girlfriend for that matter.
Look, I'm not trying to minimize any fatality white, black, male, or female & I know that being a police officer is not an easy job. I get that. I just wanna get to an atmo
I am getting ready to get off work so I will have to respond to your Post tomorrow in more detail but all great points. Racism will probably never go away unfortunately as there are just people in this world that are ignorant and violent. I am not sure how anyone can solve some of the violence talking place. It just seems to get worse and worse with groups of people getting shot in night clubs, theaters, etc. for no reason. White cops aren't doing themselves any favors either by shooting unarmed
Thank you CBE for your response to my blog entry. I know how busy peoples daily lives are so I am grateful for feedback & different points of view on this subject matter.
Max Kellerman on ESPN 'First Take' has made the intriguing argument that in America anyway the Natl. Anthem standing up during it is a mandatory gesture of compliance as opposed to a voluntary one where dissent is frowned upon & even called out publicly if you refuse to stand up while the Star Spangled Bann
Here's my short take on Colin and what is going on: I have no problem with people protesting about something they believe in or serious matters like racism, that is everyone's right to do so. Where I have the problem is dissing the American flag. It doesn't accomplish anything and it really gets many people to dislike you and question why you are doing that. To me it's dissing the Military and the USA when you don't acknowledge the flag. All you are doing is drawing negative attention to yoursel
Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.
Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:
"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear" Awesome!
When are people going to realize that the offensive line talent in last year's draft, outside of La'ell Collins, just wasn't that good? Sure we could've used a couple of picks on some mediocre o-line talent, and people would be right here, with their 20/20 hindsight, saying that they were terrible picks, and that Grigson should be fired.
Instead, we took a WR. People didn't like the pick, as the Colts allegedly were already "stacked at WR." Well, fast forward to this year: Johnson is
