It's something that we have seen on T-shirts, in player, coach, and front office interviews, and all over forums. Build the Monster has become a sort of rallying cry for the Colts organization and fan base. It's catchy and it conjures up images of an unstoppable football juggernaut. When I first heard the slogan a wide smile spread across my face, but after the initial effect wore off I began to wonder what the slogan really meant and what it would take to actually build a monster. Can't wait for the schedule to be released. And really always look forward to this. I will admit that the pre-season schedule is and looks great! But really can't wait for the regular season schedule. A week from yesterday, it will be released on 4/22!

Bears sign top 5 ranked (free agent) center for $750,000 a year and we sign Phil Costa to a 2 year $2.7 million contract worth up $3.5 million in incentives. Why do we overpay?
Free safety Kurt Coleman was rumored to have visited the Colts Friday. Don't know much about him except for he has some ugly hits on people. He hit Collie in 2010 and he left on the stretcher and when he played for Ohio State he tackled Tyson Gentry and he became paralyzed.......Coleman almost quit football until Gentry apparently forgave him. Sounds like a physical tackler but not sure about this one.

I would like to thank Coach Pagano for taking his time to have his picture taken with my grandson at the Ft. Lauderdale airport on Sunday March 30. My grandson was so excited he could hardly wait to get home to show his picture with Coach Pagano to his friends. We were flying back to Indianapolis after taking a 7 day cruise on Spring Break and he told us that getting a picture with the Coach was even better than swimming with the dolphins!! Now that's saying something!! He asked us if we tho
Feel free to comment, and please post your predicted record, playoff seeding (if you predict a playoff appearance), whether we win the div. or not, and what we do in the playoffs if you think we go.

Major Wright is only 25 yrs old and has some upside. He has had ample amount of success in his 4 years 3 years starting. I know there are some concerns about him against the run but when you have a Thumper like Landry, you may want more of a ball hawking free safety. He will be on the cheap compared to other free agents and has some YOUNG veteran experience. Major Wright 54 games played he has 253 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 9 interceptions, and a pick 6 every year for t
I am sure everybody was expecting more bang, with all the bucks that were available. I like Arthur Jones signing the best, I felt DE was the 2nd biggest need area, his versatility to play anywhere on the D-line, only adds to that. I had high hopes for Josh McNary at ILB, I felt he really added alot with his ability to rush the passer and play the pass and was going to be a key player next season, the signing of D'Qwell Jackson is going to alter that. Jackson has been one of the most productive I
Colts with large amounts of cap space, still have not address the center position. Alex Mack may be a long shot, but we still need a quality veteran. We cannot expect the line to be improved with Costa who played in 3 games last year, and Holmes who is a 4th rounder with 3 games experience. That is not really surrounding Luck who every team in the NFL would love to have, save for a few teams, with much talent. I would love to see what Luck could do with more time in the pocket, with our rece

I heard Colts are still trying to steal Alex Mack away from Cleveland. Word is they are putting an offer together that Cleveland can't or won't try to compete with. Could be smoke but some sources are saying it is very real possibility. Khaled Holmes could slide to guard he played there before with USC....Mack will be VERY expensive....especially if Cleveland won't compete, they have a ton of cap space. Free Agency Frenzy is filled with rumors not sure about this one.
I like the moves Grigs has made so far, I was a bit surprised that Vontae got that much guaranteed but then I seen Talib's contract last night. Now Vontae's looks really good. Here is a list of some positions that will be filled via Free Agency, and who I think we should take a look at. Center- Evan Dietrich-Smith, Brian De La Puente, Ryan Wendall, Jonathan Goodwin Goodwin would be a temporary 2 year starter as we draft or groom a player. The other players would be a direct replacement for Sa
hi colt nation , we almost made it to the afc championship game.i like the way.that andrew luck handles our offense.his moves as a commanding presence is awesome to watch.so i am personally always looking to the future of our team.have a great day colt nation.after all , we are the best group of fans in the afc.
Glad to see that our KOS-P Pat McAfee got himself a five-year $14M deal with $5M guaranteed. As he is not just a great player on the field. But an awesome person off it in the community. And has a career in entertainment once his career is all said and done. Really like this kid! Keep it up Pat. Stay out of the canal though!
...This guy who is 26 ! wants to retire ? ! ...that tells you one thing , he does not fit in Arians scheme ! and doesnt want to play for the guy , he would love Pagano , and what we are are trying to do with run game ...we should hop on this this guy like hobo on a ham sandwich ! no doubt this guy is FAST ! , He can still play ! only 26 ! ....probably upgrade over Donald Brown who is leaving ! ...i say 2 year contract @ 2.5 mil per year no guarantee with 500k signing bonus since he's thinking ab
Vontae Davis is asking for a contract bigger than Brent Grimes.....not surprising he is younger. I never like when players numbers are better in a contract year. He is a quality corner and can tackle, but QB's had a 98.0 QB rating when throwing his way. He had a excellent game against Denver where he got the national media pumping him up, he did play very well. I am not on the pay the man train, there is a stock pile of quality CB's in free agency. If you drop Toler you can afford to get 2
James Jones told media today that he would like to come back to Green Bay, but would also like to play for Indy or San Diego. He is 29 yrs old and a pretty decent receiver, should the Colts be interested? I myself am not sure......He caught 59 passes last year out of 93 targets with the talented discount double check guy throwing to him, much better than DHB..... but is he worth the money he may seeking?
Center------Evan Deitrich-Smith 27 yrs old is a must-----we could get him for Satele $.... Drop him take 4 mill left a year and pay this MAN! PFF ranks him a +14 and Alex Mack a +17 Safety------Major Wright 25 yrs showed play making abilities with the Bears 80 tackles 2 int 1 pick 6 and 2 forced fumbles.....could be a nice bargain ILB----------I think the Colts may sign D'Qwell Jackson..... Arthur Moats will be a solid addition less $ CB----------Davis may be to rich for Colts blood....never th
It's LeBron being LeBron. I have never been a fan of his for many reasons. He looks like a decent family man and takes great care of his kids + has never been in trouble with the law so I respect him for that - he is also a Great Basketball player, best today. Having said that his ego is outrageous, he left Cleveland in his prime because he couldn't win a Championship. Peyton Manning for example never thought about leaving Indy because he couldn't win for years against the Pats and Steelers in
Yes, that is a fair point some individuals just like to stir the pot & cause controversy & mayhem simply because their life has not turned out as well as they wish it had. Like it's somebody's else's fault that they don't make enough money or have a pretty girlfriend or any girlfriend for that matter.
Look, I'm not trying to minimize any fatality white, black, male, or female & I know that being a police officer is not an easy job. I get that. I just wanna get to an atmo
I am getting ready to get off work so I will have to respond to your Post tomorrow in more detail but all great points. Racism will probably never go away unfortunately as there are just people in this world that are ignorant and violent. I am not sure how anyone can solve some of the violence talking place. It just seems to get worse and worse with groups of people getting shot in night clubs, theaters, etc. for no reason. White cops aren't doing themselves any favors either by shooting unarmed
Thank you CBE for your response to my blog entry. I know how busy peoples daily lives are so I am grateful for feedback & different points of view on this subject matter.

Here's my short take on Colin and what is going on: I have no problem with people protesting about something they believe in or serious matters like racism, that is everyone's right to do so. Where I have the problem is dissing the American flag. It doesn't accomplish anything and it really gets many people to dislike you and question why you are doing that. To me it's dissing the Military and the USA when you don't acknowledge the flag. All you are doing is drawing negative attention to yoursel
I hope you're hanging in there brother as well as can be expected given such heart wrenching circumstances. Miss you man. I'm here if you need me. God bless, my friend.
YSGC,
Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.
Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:
"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear" Awesome!
When are people going to realize that the offensive line talent in last year's draft, outside of La'ell Collins, just wasn't that good? Sure we could've used a couple of picks on some mediocre o-line talent, and people would be right here, with their 20/20 hindsight, saying that they were terrible picks, and that Grigson should be fired.
Instead, we took a WR. People didn't like the pick, as the Colts allegedly were already "stacked at WR." Well, fast forward to this year: Johnson is
