Just like anything, who's the best QB ever, best RB,etc, it's a matter of opinion and cases can be made for many-who deserves to be in the NFL Hall of Fame? As it stands, there is a select group of people who decide that and from I have seen from the media who cover sports, that should probably be changed, in baseball there are actually people who did not think Babe Ruth was Hall of Fame worthy-he did not get 100% of the votes, nobody ever has-Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Ted Williams-nobody. I have
With all due respect to the courage it must have taken for Bruce Jenner to turn himself into Caitlyn Jenner, ESPN fumbled this one. On Monday, the sports network announced that it had selected Jenner to receive the ESPY Arthur Ashe award for courage. Given the enormous — and largely self-generated — publicity spawned by the transformation of Bruce to Caitlyn, it was a no-brainer for the sports network. When it comes to ratings, it’s hard to beat a man who was an Olympic champion who then went o
Is it just me, or does the rest of Colts Nation see only ONE potential cold-weather game on the 2015 schedule? Check it out. As far as I can see, the ONLY cold-weather game occurs on Dec. 6 at Pittsburgh! How cool is that? I like what I see. Maybe I missed something, so let me know if you see it too! Wow, I'm psyched for the upcoming season! Go Colts!
From the moment Irsay let Future Hall of Famer and fan favorite Peyton Manning walk into free agency, the mercurial Colts team owner has had his sites on outdoing the accomplishments the team made with Manning under center. Irsay's been on record in saying that he felt the team should have won multiple championships during the Manning era, but failed to do so because of the way his team was structured. In placing 90% of the team's success squarely on the shoulder's of it's star QB the Colts won
As usual there are some really good looking players in this group, some of them sound better than the guys that were drafted and makes you wonder why at least a few them....went undrafted. QB: Bryan Bennett-S E Louisiana-6'2-211-4.7 Great athlete, duel threat QB who had 3165 yds passing and over 1,000 yds rushing his Jr season before getting injured, had the strongest throwing arm at the combines, tranferred to SE Louisiana, from Oregon, after losing his job to #2 overall pick M. As we inch closer to the start of the 2015 season, the NFL finds itself at the center of yet another scandal. It's safe to say the 2014 season was not a good look for the NFL. From the mishandling of Ray Rice's and Greg Hardy's domestic violence cases to the infamous "Deflate Gate," the NFL has been a den full of mishaps. All of this has been happening under the watch of current commissioner Roger Goodell. While it seems that most of the owners have been happy with his job thus far, some within
In a previous article I covered the Colts 1st round selection of Phillip Dorsett and offered my analogy behind the purpose of why the front office took him over addressing more pressing needs, particularly on defense. With players like Landon Collins and Malcom Brown still on the board, the Colts opted for the fleet footed Dorsett to shore up a WR group that in the eyes of many is already loaded. The timing of this pick couldn't be more impeccable when you take in Hilton on the edge of a contrac
Have to start with the obvious, this has nothing to do with Phillip Dorsett, I think he is going to be a very good player in the NFL, has rare speed and athletic ability and is a game changer, but there were a handfull of players who I feel were just as good that were sitting there who would have filled major needs, a DT and a lights-out Safety, to mention 2, I really don't care how many reps he gets this year, which probably isn't going to be a lot, as they say there is only 1 football....Hilto

Where do people get this idea we are deep at receiver, besides the obvious, that being TY and Andre what proven commodity do we have at the position? Moncrief did the utmost with his time on the field but flashes are not guarantees. As for Duron he is a mystery inside an enigma wrapped inside a puzzle that is also inside a Jack in the Box, I'm still not sure about that place; some may say "he produce in the CFL"... ok, "well his dad is Cris Carter" your point being? All I'm trying to get at is t
I have been following the SB Nation Stampede Blue undrafted free agents for this year and there are a couple really cool prospects. Here is the link to that page and you can refresh for the most recent updates: http://www.stampedeblue.com/2015/5/2/8537477/tracking-the-indianapolis-colts-undrafted-free-agents The few players that stand out to me are: Ezell Ruffin, WR, S.D. Once again the Colts sent shockwaves throughout the NFL world with their 1st round latest selection via the 2015 NFL draft. With safety and D-line being the main talk entering the draft within the front office, just about everyone in and outside of Indy had the Colts taking either Landon Collins or Malcolm Brown still on the board. Yet the Colts took former Hurricane blazer Phillip Dorsett and turned the Indy fanbase upside down, with many gnashing their teeth & calling for GM Ryan Grigson’s
Path To the Draft 2015: “Where Would Colts Be Now If Team Kept Hughes?” Prior to 2012 and the beginning of the Andre Luck era, the Indianapolis Colts had one of the league’s more potent pass rushing defenses in the league. That defense was led by cornerstones Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis as that tandem routinely caused havoc on opposing offenses with regularity on Sundays. As both players reached towards the end of their careers, the Polian regime started addressing the future of the positio

One of my favorite times of the year, at least it is before....... I am always anxious to see how teams attempt to make their teams better and of course, always very anxious to see how our leaders go about making those very important decisions, I have always said and always will, everybody knows it's somewhat of a crapshoot, but I really don't think it's as hard as it's made out to be, I do this every year and with my 50-100$ budget, I can hold my own vs the league and even our leaders, with the
Defense has been the recurring theme amongst most Colts fans and NFL personalities as we draw nearer the upcoming draft. Most of the reasoning behind that being the team's innability to stop the run when it counts against the elite teams of the league. The image of LaGarrette Blount running wild against the Colts in the AFCCG in NE has been the latest rallying cry for why the team's primary focus should be on shoring up the defensive side of the ball. Still, the more prudent move might be for th
With free agency winding down and we shift focus to the 2015 NFL Draft, there were quite a few surprises (and shockers) that few outside of their respective organizations saw coming. While the Colts made significant acquisitions that should surely help them be amongst the elite again this year, without question the Philadelphia Eagles are this year’s bread winners for making the boldest moves. Sending LeSean McCoy to the Bills for LB Kiko Alonzo was the blockbuster of the offseason and left NFL

NOTE: I wrote this prior to the Colts vs. Broncos in the 2014 AFC Divisional Playoffs. Thought I'd share with you all! It was December of 2010. Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck had just put the finishing touches on a remarkable collegiate season that catapulted him into the NFL’s top draft position. He was crowned as the greatest quarterback coming of the collegiate ranks since Peyton Manning and John Elway. Luck was the unanimous number 1 choice, barring of course that he would declare for the
This is my first blog for this forum, I would like to say I have been a Colts fan for years even when we 3-13 before Payton Manning. I have watch them go through some really tuff times and I can remember praying for a really good defense and a great running game. I am really excited to see what this season brings with the new additions to our team and just how strong of a defense we will have. I seen some moves this offseason that is moving towards just that. Also THANK YOU Reggie Wayne for b
It's LeBron being LeBron. I have never been a fan of his for many reasons. He looks like a decent family man and takes great care of his kids + has never been in trouble with the law so I respect him for that - he is also a Great Basketball player, best today. Having said that his ego is outrageous, he left Cleveland in his prime because he couldn't win a Championship. Peyton Manning for example never thought about leaving Indy because he couldn't win for years against the Pats and Steelers in
Yes, that is a fair point some individuals just like to stir the pot & cause controversy & mayhem simply because their life has not turned out as well as they wish it had. Like it's somebody's else's fault that they don't make enough money or have a pretty girlfriend or any girlfriend for that matter.
Look, I'm not trying to minimize any fatality white, black, male, or female & I know that being a police officer is not an easy job. I get that. I just wanna get to an atmo
I am getting ready to get off work so I will have to respond to your Post tomorrow in more detail but all great points. Racism will probably never go away unfortunately as there are just people in this world that are ignorant and violent. I am not sure how anyone can solve some of the violence talking place. It just seems to get worse and worse with groups of people getting shot in night clubs, theaters, etc. for no reason. White cops aren't doing themselves any favors either by shooting unarmed
Thank you CBE for your response to my blog entry. I know how busy peoples daily lives are so I am grateful for feedback & different points of view on this subject matter.
Max Kellerman on ESPN 'First Take' has made the intriguing argument that in America anyway the Natl. Here's my short take on Colin and what is going on: I have no problem with people protesting about something they believe in or serious matters like racism, that is everyone's right to do so. Where I have the problem is dissing the American flag. It doesn't accomplish anything and it really gets many people to dislike you and question why you are doing that. To me it's dissing the Military and the USA when you don't acknowledge the flag. All you are doing is drawing negative attention to yoursel
I hope you're hanging in there brother as well as can be expected given such heart wrenching circumstances. Miss you man. I'm here if you need me. God bless, my friend.
YSGC,
Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.
Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:
"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear" Awesome!
When are people going to realize that the offensive line talent in last year's draft, outside of La'ell Collins, just wasn't that good? Sure we could've used a couple of picks on some mediocre o-line talent, and people would be right here, with their 20/20 hindsight, saying that they were terrible picks, and that Grigson should be fired.
Instead, we took a WR. People didn't like the pick, as the Colts allegedly were already "stacked at WR." Well, fast forward to this year: Johnson is
