Packers are notoriously closed-mouthed about injuries.....they say Nelson has a rib injury

They say they'll try and practice him Saturday to see if he can play Sunday in Dallas...

 

But he spent Sunday night at a hospital in Green Bay.

Do you spend the night in the hospital for a rib injury?  Just asking

The report is he has broken ribs.

I'm concerned about the type of injury Andrew Luck had..lacerated kidney...something like that

  ...the Giants game aside...the Packers are obviously much easier to defend without Nelson..

...chances of them winning the next 2 weeks short Jordy..are slim and none

......to lay, he'd almost have to grab the ball and go down or out of bounds all the time..

If he really has broken ribs he aint playin.  No Dr. worth his salt is going to condone him playing this weekend.  One good hit and he could break them more or displace them and end up with a pneumothorax.  Not advised.

Didn't Emmitt Smith run for 168 yards and tack on 10 receptions with broken ribs vs NYG in the NFC championship game? No that was a dislocated shoulder

 

It was Trent Richardson who played the final four games of his rookie year with 2 broken ribs. Go figure. He broke them Oct. 14 against Cincinnati. For the next three or four weeks he said he needed help getting into a shower and dressing. He slept propped up.

 

TO grabbing 9 for 122 in the Super Bowl on the broken leg and damaged ankle. 

 

I think Jordy will were a protective vest and give it a go. He won't go down in street close after losing last season to injury.

I just experienced broken ribs and it is the WORST pain on earth. .If his ribs are broken there is NO way he can play, it's not possible trust me..

That's the key phrase..

...we don't know what he has...we just know what insiders have reported..

....He might just be a decoy....he puts on the old Kevlar jacket and he ruins routes..

....He doesn't have to get hit and he doesn't have to catch much

 

....But again.....Green Bay hasn't said what he actually has.

He may have other injuries......He may be out for the year...we don't know

Could not agree more.

if he does this (and I'm just going by what GB web sites and radio reports suggest) he knows this is it.

To not play now basically means wait till next year

Its not a head trauma injury and its not a knee injury....so its probably up to him.

 

..and he probably will be knocked out of the game..but I guess he has to try

It is ballsy. Jordy has some huge cojones. Not downplaying the situation by any means but I would attempt to play as well with a SB berth on the line. The story will be their other WRs. Are Davante and Geronimo gonna play?

I think DeVontae Adams is sure to play...Geronimo....maybe..

..again there's been no announcement on Jordy Nelson but they say he caught a few passes in practice..

...they can give him the bullet proof Kevlar vest and shoot him up...

 

If he can run fast, he can run routes and, at worst, be a decoy
